LOL, yeah and if we hit every shot we would never lose.
That has nothing at all to do with what I said. Which you apparently don't understand. To win the NCAAT, a championship caliber team must perform better than ranked opponents in a series of games, especially in the last 10 minutes of the game. Our game against Kansas is on the schedule to prepare a freshman-sophomore team for the NCAAT. To win a game at this competitive level, a winning team can't shoot 67% from the free throw line, or play sloppy perimeter defense. Especially in the last 10 minutes. But this isn't worth debating.

Again- "we" :joy::joy::joy:.

Secondly, no it wasn't harder. There was still one champion pre -64. You just skipped the easier early round games and got right into the biggies.

This is typical with bandwagon fanbases. I feel like I always have to lecture.

Early round games are still tricky. Duke (or we) lost to Mercer and Lehigh, Kansas lost early a number of times, UK lost to UAB etc.

Bandwagon stuff is played out, better insert a tripping joke or two.

Grayson Allen has issues, but I don't remember UK fans calling for Trey Lyles' head when he bitchslapped that Badger. Or when Andrew Harrison said "F**k that n*gga" to Kaminsky.

It's not played out at all. As far as I'm concerned, bandwagon fans are scum. You're garbage.

Neither of those teams were title-worthy.

Great comparisons! Young black dudes use that word a little differently than white people. Maybe listen to a hiphop song someday. If Lyles slapped people on purpose multiple times, then yes, he'd be called out.

You're awful- you come in here talking smack until I backhand you right across the mouth, then we have to deal with the above.

Get the hell out of here.

Whatever man, I'll just ignore your childish insults and get back to the point of the thread, which is UK-KU game in 10 days. I think UK will win but don't see logic in predicting a blowout. If any team can say their backcourt is as good as UK's it is Kansas. Not as talented for sure, but a lot more experience. One thing is for sure, the game will be a pleasure to watch, unlike watching Louisville muck it up and make every game they play ugly

Much different situations. Both of those things happened in their last game for UK. Gracie has been tripping opposing players for two seasons now and received a one game suspension. [eyeroll]Allen is a straight up punk. Please let UK and Duke matchup in the tourney this year so UK can expose y'all again.

I don't see blowout but it could be a 12-point win if Kentucky is shooting well.

Well actually the game is on our schedule because ESPN want to have the best two teams play each other in the SEC-B12 challenge but I agree with your points. lol
I am speaking about why Calipari scheduled Kansas. Not about why ESPN televises college basketball games. This isn't the 1st time Calipari has scheduled Kansas.

I'm fairly certain the conferences/ESPN schedule these things. It's part of the B12 SEC challenge.

When we played Kansas on neutral courts, that's during the Champions Classic.

It definetly could, Kansas will probably assign Graham to stop Monk, he is their perimeter stopper, did a good job on Buddy Hield a year ago. Another key matchup is Briscoe vs Josh Jackson, interesting to see how Briscoe deals with serious size disadvantage like vs Justin Jackson. Josh is nowhere near the shooter Justin is though. Fox vs Mason is probably a wash, advantage Fox if his jumpshot is on. Plus Mason won't get those foul calls he gets at home, when he drops his head down and rushes towards the hoop like a running back if he's out of ideas. UK should have frontcourt advantage because Bam is better than Landen Lucas who is a solid veteran, while Bragg and Gabriel are too unpredictable. Gabriel seems to be improving lately though. Benches are hit and miss for both teams. Mulder and Ukrainian guy from KU could be X-factors with their shooting ability

Doesn't make UK fans dismissing a KU team which has played better competition and has a better record than you guys any less puzzling. As for Duke, we have been here before. 2014-2015, back to back horrible losses against Miami and NC State. Of course, at the end of the year we had #5 and you were supplying kids in Africa with free 40-0 shirts
Which still leaves your school behind UK in titles. With Coach K conveniently needing back surgery when his team sucks *** again is a testament to what a total jackass he is. He also embarrassed his lame *** by bringing that sociopath Allen back on the team. I see another First round loss for Duke.

To be clear, are you disputing that Calipari has the final say on Kentucky's nonconference basketball schedule?

Do you really believe a 70 year old guy would fake back pain and would go have unnecessary surgery because of few tough road games?
K has failed before and gotten right back up, check the facts. He is not afraid of failure.
One game suspension may seem like a little, until you learn Draymond Green kicked guys in the nuts and received the same punishment. Nobody was mad at that.
Maybe Duke will get bounced in the first round, maybe not. We'll see. We are still the most successful college basketball program of modern times (64 teams, three point line) no matter what happens this year. We still may get one of Duval, Knox, Bamba. Wendell Carter and Trent Jr are already ours. We will be fine

The majority of the non conference.......no. Things like the B12/SEC challenge......yes. That's an event that the conferences agreed upon. I'm not sure how much power if any Cal has in that.

What I'm saying is K could have had that surgery long before now. He could read the tea leaves with this disfunctional team and bailed. That's the K way. He did it before. He is blatant liar also. He lied about confronting that kid on another team meanwhile the Charlie Manson on his team keeps tripping people and then pushing coaches and K acts like it's ok. K is a hypocrite of the first order.

Kentucky will have five guards that are very serviceable by March, 2 of which will be lotto picks and a third that could go late first round, early 2nd and another that can shoot the three and another that can play solid D and his heart will be in it all the way as he is a native Kentuckian.

This will make U.K. Very tough to handle in the Dance.

Hoping we throttle them and the reality of that happening are two very different things. I bet they hoped they would throttle us last year.

That's different than tripping players 3 times. That's stuff you do in middle school.
Guilty. UCLA is a more complete and better team than KU, IMO. I just don't think KU has the firepower and can score enough points to beat UK, like UCLA did. I'm hoping KU in carrying that #1 ranking when they come to Rupp.
When was the last time RUPP hosted a number 1 team?

No, that's not what he's saying at all. I would think a blowhard like you who posts like he's smarter than everyone else could figure that out.

Kansas benefits from an unfair whistle at home and has for years. This is common knowledge to coaches, fans and analysts.

But keep playing dumb.
Thanks, that is exactly what I thought I was saying but I was beginning to wonder. There are so many examples of this going back so many years it is impossible to keep up with them all.Anyone who watches college basketball with little more than a passing interest can see it if they are paying attention

I agree with your username man. Cal truly is one of a kind. I mean let's face it before the guy came UK was a ten-loss school year after year, hanging tough with giants such as Gardner-Webb and being a punching bag in the NIT. Whatever you are paying him is not enough.

And before K came along in the early 80s Duke had how many titles? Zippo.

Fair to say you go on another hiatus after he retires?

UK was elite before Cal came aboard to the tune of 7 NCAA titles and will be after he is gone. Duke Pre-K (I like that)?...not so much.

Yep- UK went from the #1 program of all-time pre-Cal to the #1 program of all-time 7 years later.

Five coaches have won natties here.

#1 program of all time? Depends how you look at it, at the end of the day you are still #2 in the main category.
And I don't get this five coach argument. Kansas has won three titles with three coaches, so that is somehow making them more prestigious than Duke where one guy won five?
Let's face it, before Calipari saved your a$$ you were on your way to becoming Indiana 2.0, how long was that drought, 13 years without a Final Four? LMAO

You think Duke is due for mediocrity after K retires, just watch your next coach trying to recruit after Cal set the bar :joy:

Saved our ***? That's what top programs do- they go out and hire top coaches. Once Wheelchair K retires at Puke, you will fade into oblivion. K is Duke. Btw, Capel is tearing it up since K decided to bail on his team. But don't you worry, there is another Patriot League team out there ready to smoke your overrated asses once March comes.

Yep- considering only TWO UK coaches (out of 7) since 1930 haven't won national titles, I'm sure we'll be screwed when Cal leaves in 15 years.

Anyway, I don't talk basketball with bandwagon morons and you are one stupid SOB, so welcome IGNORE. Looking forward to a few more Dookie injuries!:joy:

As a KU fan, I'd honestly be happy if we kept it close. It might go down similar to the '14 champions classic with Mason getting into the paint only to be rejected by Lee, KAT & WCS. We might just need to replace those names with BAM & Gabriel.
