The kid has a lot of talent, Miami game notwithstanding.
With Grier as the QB, it could be as awesome as Geno Smith to Tavon Austin or Stedman Bailey!
I agree. Hope he stays to improve his NFL draft chances.

he does not want to go out having played the worst game of his college career.
I've never understood the talk about him leaving. He has loads of potential but also has a lot of room for improvement.

But I think Smallwood leaving last year was also a big shock to everyone. I didn't see him leaving, but he did, and has done rather well for the Eagles this year.

Definitely agree with you there. Shelton may very well have success but for every Smallwood you have hundreds that flame out quicly.

I agree. I look at some of these past WR greats for WVU who had tremendous careers at WVU, and that didn't mean NFL stardom:

1. Shawn Foreman
2. David Saunders
3. Stedman Bailey

Those are just three that come to my mind quickly. They were great (my opinion). And only Bailey got a true sniff at the NFL and that was as a #4 WR for the Rams.

I think if the NFL tells Gibson he's a top 3 round WR, then he should go. But anything other than that, he could benefit from coming back another year and getting better as a WR, especially over the middle.

But I can't blame a person for leaving if they think they have a shot at making some real $$$. None of us would turn down that opportunity.

Smoking pot and getting shot affected Steadman just a little. I still think he's got a shot at a solid career if someone will take a chance. Come on Cincinnati. They always seem willing to give a Mountaineer a second chance.

He has nothing to help his stock the past 6 weeks. He needs to come back. Everyone wins next year. This offense with decent blocking will light it up.

I read somewhere in and article and he said he had unfinished business and was returning next year, or something like preparing for next season.
