Man I am not trying to say we are going to beat them and win a Natty, we got our own problems. But I also wouldn't be so sure that tree trunk would eat up the reigning National player of the year.

For the record this is the first time I have seen them all year, but that team doesn't look like a national championship team to me. Maybe this year with a lot of teams losing left and right they will have a chance, but I will be shocked if that team cuts down the nets.
Edey would eat us alive unless we got him in foul trouble.

I am not suggesting that Purdue will win an NC. However, Cal's show ponies aren't winning anything either. The point I am trying to make is that it doesn't require a bunch of 5-star players to put a winning product on the floor. They might not be going anywhere, but we would love to be in their spot. They are not complaining because they appear NIT bound like Kentucky.

He is slow as molasses and yet he has a smart enough coach to be able to add some hot biscuits to the molasses for a hardy meal. Smart coaches are able to work with what they have to produce winners instead of spewing out a lot of nonsensical cliche's.
do you want cal to take Oscar out of the game .

He’s coached about as long as Cal.

Surely Purdue is a better program than UMass?

Cal went to the FF with 1 player. Why can’t Painter?
Can we stop talking about UMass? There is a large percentage of UK fans who weren't alive when Cal coached at UMass. It is embarrassing when you have to dust off that relic to support your statement of Cal's greatness.

Purdue will fail to make the FF
ESPN clowning the Hoosiers for storming the court.

As they should. You’re like the 6th greatest program of all time. I know you haven’t won **** since you beat Kentucky that one time… but goodness, act like you’ve been there. And against Purdue to beat all! Just pitiful. RMK would be spinning in his grave if the old bastard wasn’t too ornery to die.

Especially considering Cal’s motto back then was “refuse to lose” and now it might as well be “refuse to beat top-25 teams”, “refuse to play my best lineup” or “refuse to accept responsibility for this latest debacle of a season”.

I want Cal to coach up all of his players so that the cream rises to the top. Cal has two guys riding the pine that should be able to provide UK minutes to keep from wearing down Oscar and for situational spot play when Oscar is being killed by the opponents overwhelming size. So, no I don't want Oscar pulled for the sake of pulling him.

Not sure how me saying I don't think Purdue is that good turned into me being a Cal, 5-star, UK slurper.
Hell right now I think we got a better chance of being in the NIT than the NCAA.

I am just not impressed with Purdue. I know Assembly Hall is a tough place to play, but I am simply not that impressed.

If they win it all, I will come back to this thread and profusely apologize to you and call you the Nostradamus of all things related to a basketball.

They would put Oscar in a pick and roll and throw over the top to score. Cal would be so upset with Oscar that he would snatch him out the game while announcers are saying Oscar isn't spending enough time in the gym as if that would make him taller.

You have to give those players meaningful minutes throughout the season so that they are prepared for minutes. You can't expected unprepared players to perform just because you need them.

Blackcat714 is there a reason you tampered with my post to provide your description of "terrible"? Are you afraid to own your description?

I don’t mean to embarrass you by bringing up facts.

But if you get embarrassed by it then just deal with it.

You really think dusting off 1988 basketball in 2023 is embarrassing me? You are funny. If this is a history discussion, why not also remind us that James Naismith is credited with inventing the game? Lol

Imagine UK storming the court at Rupp after beating a ranked UL team.

Good lord, IU.

That’s little brotherish behavior.
