As a Jet fan, I hate it 100%. I did not want any part of Rodgers. Joe Douglas the Jets GM is now officially an idiot.

The Jets are still not a Super Bowl contender with Rodgers.

I am with you on this one. Aaron's ego has to be continuously stroked and he has become worse than Farve at threatening to retire after every season. He will hold the Jets hostage for too much money to play the 24-25 season. More importantly I don't think the Jets win anything of any meaning with him. First round of the playoffs at best.

What would they be this year (and maybe next) without him? They got him without losing a first round pick.

They gave up a second this year and a second or first next year. I wanted them to take two offensive linemen in the first two rounds and a big running back like Zach Charbonett (UCLA) or Tank Bigsby (Auburn) in the second round. Of course Joe Douglas is the idiot who drafted Zack Wilson two years ago.

Seems like not much to give up to easily improve the most important position on the field.

Wilson can fetch AR his coffee, which is about all he's qualified to do.

Don't the Jets have the longest playoff drought in all pro sports? Beggars can't be choosers. We'll see if you change your mind when A-Rod gets you in the playoffs. To be continued...

I agree

draft picks are such a crapshoot

it's no surprise the worst orgs value them the most

Rodgers looked pretty average last year. He’s behind Mahomes, Burrow, Allen, Herbert, and probably Lawrence to my thinking.

I’ll throw him in between Jackson and Tua and call him QB7 at this point in the AFC.

Agree that he didn't play well last year. But he won the MVP two years ago, so it's hard to say what he is right now. That said, his worst is better than Mike White and he could outplay Wilson with his left arm.

Don't disagree on Rodgers. But I would put Jackson and Hurts above Herbert

played more than half the season with a broken thumb on his throwing hand

Whatever - The only idiotic thing the Jets did was draft Zach Wilson to begin with. He sucks and he isn’t going to magically get better anytime soon. The Jets had a 0% chance of making the playoffs before this trade. Now they have a decent shot.

Seems he's been hurt a decent amount the last few years. Has played through it, but you do have to wonder how long he can hold up.

Aaron Rodgers is still single I think. He should pull the old switcheroo and bang Zach Wilsons mom and then talk about it every day in practice. People will forget that Zach Wilson is known for literally one thing (two if you include his horrible QB play), and now he would be known as the guy whose mom banged the starter. That would be pretty epic.

So the Packers get a 2nd round pick this year and probably a first round pick next year. Next year's draft appears a lot better than this year so that first next year could be valuable even if the Jets don't stink. It's not a lot for a starting QB, but Rodgers is old. He certainly doesn't seem like the kind of player who'll stick around forever like Brady did. Overall, it seems like a fair trade.
I'm not sure the Jets have any insurance in case Rodgers calls in quits after this season. That's the biggest risk for the Jets. For the Packers, they just have to deal with a huge cap hit this year and then move on next year.

Rodgers is one of the best QBs in the history of the NFL. Green Bay and the whole state of Wisconsin is trending down

The last time I watched Rodgers play, he was still getting those BS interference calls after throwing another bomb downfield. Either that or garbage roughing calls. All the while acting it up like a giant baby. That would be the reason I dislike the guy. I don't think he's a bad QB, I just don't think he's the legend people think he is. He's gotten a lot of help from a pillow soft league.
I hope he does well in NY.

Not sure what people expected. Both teams were ready to move on with their current qb's. If Rodgers has a good year the Packers get a 1st next year. Probably couldn't ask for much more. Time to figure out if Love is any good.

Jets could be really good next year. They have weapons. QB is what they lacked. Wilson now has the potential to be a top 10 WR. Plus now Rodgers gets to reunite with Lazard who was his best WR last year. B Hall is a top tier RB and Hardman has potential. And Conklin is sneaky good

I love Hall but he got hurt. Just like so many Jets get hurt every year.

They did it to themselves. This move will hold them back for half a decade.
You haven't been in the playoffs since 2010. What's another decade? Lol. A-Rod will take you to the playoffs. You have a good coach and good talent. Give him a chance. What have you got to lose? You didnt give up that much.
