Who in that lineup is a real threat other than the lead off guy because of his speed? Throw strikes to him and he’s not a real factor.

Leiter is clearly the best pitcher in the country, it’s not like he’s pitching for the Bronx Bombers. Not only did State beat Madden twice, they beat Leiter in Nashville. Rocker is showing signs of the wear and tear of a long season so he doesn’t scare me IF the series goes to three games. They have a couple of guys on the back end of their bullpen that are decent but not as good as Texas.

It all really comes down to MacCleod. If State gets a solid outing from him, I see it as State in two.

It’s a good matchup for the Dawgs.

Who else in their lineup is a threat besides Bradfield?

For starters, Dominic Keegan, Carter Young, Isiaih Thomas, and Jaysen Gonzalez can all mash the baseball. Keegan was neck and neck with Tanner Allen for SEC POY pretty much all season long.

They aren’t the most elite hitting team we have faced this year, but they absolutely can hit at a high level when they are locked in.

This is not the 2019 Vandy team. Rocker and Leiter are what they are but otherwise they are just OK. Have really struggled offensively since the Super Regionals started.
