I fear Blackshear may be going to UT

evan Daniels has been posting on UTs board the past couple days. Has said he’s deciding by Sunday at the latest, that he’s unlikely to take any more visits, that Tennessee is a major player in his recruitment, and that he would be a major pick up for Tennessee.

It is telling to me of Evans perspective on the recruitment that he’s not posting any of that on UKs board. I think he would have if he thought Uk was the pick.

I hope Evan is wrong or I hope my interpretation of his posting activity is wrong. I could understand KB picking Florida. Think UK is the only pick worth returning to school for but could at least see the logic in picking Florida. Can’t understand Tennessee.

Guess we’ll know soon enough.

If only there had been a Blackshear thread already started where this would have fit. Oh well. I guess that would have been too much to ask for.

As for Tennessee, if he goes there he might as well have stayed at Va Tech. IT'll tell me he peered into the deep end and it wasn't for him.

A perpetual off-the-radar program that is about to return there. They had their greatest team in history last year and couldn't make the Elite Eight - which Kentucky has matched or bettered SEVEN times in TEN years.

They are still 0-For-Eternity in reaching the Final Four. Next year they will be a 7 seed with Blackshear and a 10 seed without him. Those in Knoxville who think it is easy to replace five of your top seven players and keep on trucking like Calipari does are about to learn differently.

I don’t “fear” you’re a Tennessee fan making a lame attempt at trolling. If Evan Daniels thought he was going to Tennessee, he would publicly pick Tenneseee. Run along.

He's had an account for a decade, and none of Billy Gillispie as coach, Nerlens Noel tearing his ACL, Cal potentially leaving for the NBA, injuries to PJ at the start of the NCAA Tournament, or a host of other stressful situations motivated him to post.

But Kerry Blackshear maybe, possibly, potentially going to a Tennessee program that's never won anything because of where Evan Daniels is posting on the internet has him nervous enough to talk about it to us.

I’ve lurked a long time but rarely post. Thought this was new info that was telling of Evans take. I’m not a member of that board but was sent screenshots.

I hope Evan is wrong but I do believe at least that HE thinks it will be Tennessee.

As for Tennessee, I have heard that there is not much confidence in Knoxville that Blackshear will end up playing there. They felt their pitch was strong during the visit and there is playing time to be had, but something just didn’t click with him in his time on campus. The staff hasn’t shut down the possibility completely, but I am told that they are operating under the assumption that he won’t be in Knoxville next season. I’d be shocked if he ends up at Tennessee.

Because "I want to win a national championship" says "go to a school that has never been to a Final Four".

Of course we know never to believe when players say those things because they are usually blowing smoke.

I haven't read all 37 Blackshear threads... but...

If he did give a commitment to us - it's doubtful he would announced around the NBA draft. Cal is very keen on giving the program and the players publicity. If Blackshear has made up his mind and our staff and his family are staying quiet... then an announcement makes sense after the NBA draft buzz dies down.

Evan Daniels is based in Nashville, Tennessee. He has more UT ties in his own city.

He posted on their board because he actually has inside info coming from inside the UT program. He didn't get any info from Cal...as he went to NYC and doesn't leak info often.

Well he should've just stayed at Virginia Tech if he's really strongly considering Tennessee because that's like a lateral move!

If he goes to UT, then so be it.

If he can't see the clear advantages that UK has over UT, then I don't know what to tell him.

He must value something else over winning and getting to the NBA.
