You can take your "we get better at the end of the year" stuff. This isn't a FAARR CAL post. But I don't get this. Yes, we get better, but there is literally no excuse for having this much talent with a HOF coach and having a third game in a row like this against a cupcake. I just don't get it.

When you can’t shoot anyone can beat you.
But shouldn't this much talent, under a HOF coach be able to at least not struggle against cupcakes?? This is weird. Has nothing to do with outside shooting. Should be a simple difference of talent, right?

On defensive end quit switching everything it’s stupid

I've been saying this every year since the 2015 team. 2015 team is the last year we've actually tried to build a roster. Every since then we've stopped trying to build a team and have been reduced to just being a development squad for the NBA. You simply can not be a contending team if you lose 80% of your scoring, rebounding and assists every season. If you carry nothing forward from one year to the next you are not competing for a title. I don't care if you get the #1 class every year and you have 8 draft picks every year, you still aren't a team. Right now this looks like an AAU team getting schooled by a real college team.
And yes I believe we will develop by the end of the year. The question is what will we develop into. The problem is by March we will evolve into a top 15ish roster that will get bounced in the sweet 16 or perhaps final 8. But under no circumstance is this a final 4 or national title team. Cal has to stop the fast track to the NBA crap or he will never coach another final 4 team again.

A little bit of shooting cures a lot of ills. 0% from 3. Knock down a couple of 3’s and not so bad.
The defense is my big concern. We are making some very silly mistakes on defense. We’ve coughed up q0 or more 10 pts to bad defense.

I'm relaxed, but come on... struggling against three cupcakes in a row. Tell me that's not odd.
One and Done. Team full of freshmen no superstars and Sophomores and a upper class transfer here and there. Not the recipe for success. Oh and Cousins type big man.
It is very odd. You will have the sheep that will argue the opposite even though it is slapping them in the face.
Im telling you its a combo of being Nov., the influx of youth and the injuries.

This team isn’t as talented as a lot of people think. They will get better but the ceiling is not that high.
We DID NOT look like this first game against MSU. We weren’t perfect but we actually looked like a freakin cohesive team. Now it looks like sumone came n and replaced our guys with doppelgängers or sumthin...it’s freaky.
It's odd so far for a Cal team. We are excellent from the line, but the defense I thought we would hang our hat on isn't that great or nearly as disruptive as I thought it would be with Ashton and Quickly returning and adding Maxey.

never seen anything quite like this i must admit. it's crazy. what made me a fan was Jim Master, Melvin Turpin, Sam Bowie, Kenny Walker.....the heart and soul they had to play for UK. I see this **** and it's like what the hell am I watching. Just blows my damn mind.
Ya think? Remember that when we r gettin bent over without lube n sum dimly lit SEC West gym by a team that has like 0 conference wins....this **** keeps up, and that’s what’s comin...
A little better shot selection, better motion on offense, and getting a fair whistle would make a huge difference
Go back to the day Cal accepted the UK job and listen. That’s what’s going on. I’m not bashing him at all. He is doing now what he said he would do the whole time. It’s painful to watch as a fan, but we were told how it was going to be, so either accept or move on I suppose.
We run horrendous offense but people make every other excuse in the book for some strange reason. It's obvious every game we play and people wont acknowledge it.
We play Richards, Montgomery, and Sestina together more than we play Hagans, Maxey, and Quickly together because Cal is stuck in the 90's.

Kids learning is a real thing... These are not robots programmed. How Cal does it year in n year out is unreal. Taking new players and making them juniors in 3 months.
Yes I know...we should all celebrate making a comeback on a 1 and 4 team that couldnt compete with Oak Hill Academy... with the highest paid coach in the country with a top recruiting class in the country at home in Rupp arena that supposedly one of the toughest places in the country to play in. #ThumbsUp
