Why did Huggins burn Doomes redshirt for us to continue to suffer through insert shooting guard here? No D, no O.

I think he’s likely better than a certain unnamed player who logs a ton of minutes but doesn’t score the ball and, worse, can’t stay in front of his guy on D.
We have too many problems for one guy to fix, so no, I don’t think Doomes is the solution but I still don’t understand the logic of burning his redshirt and continuing to let other guys (one in particular who shouldn’t have D1 a scholarship) play very poorly.
I like his energy and athleticism. Might as well see if he’s a guy that can stick around for next year.

McCabe, Haley, Mathews, Gordon are pudding soft newcomers and miss recruits. Doomes is a miss too. He’s not going to compete well vs real starters. All out of state misses. Get them out of here. I would keep Doomes over the 4 mentioned. He’s not much but better than the 4 mentioned.
Keep Knapper, Doomes, Wes Harris, Culver, Konate, Beetle. We need people that have a chance to defend a little. Dump off Lamont West. He’s a liability and D2 level.
