I Believe Cal Finally Gets it!

He hit on a number of key points during his call in, he realizes we are all at a crossroads. I do believe he will adjust, more so tomorrow than he has ever prior. He affirmed he wants to be here and he is still passionate about winning. Who knows what that will translate into over the next few games, though I do believe this team has a chance of making the NCAA Tournament. There's no denying if they were playing cohesively and collectively, they would present a strong challenge to almost anyone. There are some holes that no matter what, he's not going to be able to fix, the lack of a true PG and floor leader being the primary. Time will tell, though I think we need to be supportive of the opportunity.

Cal is playing your entire fan base. He hates all of you and looks down on you all as he thinks he’s some woke god. The dude is a moron and you should all hate him for not playing Allen while defending it by talking about Boston’s “mental health”! What a complete joke!!! If the kid can’t handle a lil pine time when he’s sucking what is he going to do in the nba? Cal believes he’s bigger than UK basketball and he should be fired. I’m not a UK fan but I’m pretty sure UK basketball will be just fine once he’s gone. You have an administration that actually wants your bball program to be the best. Here at “The Republic of Bloomington”. The administration actually wants basketball to not be very good as they don’t want the school to be known for that as it once was. Liberalism in this country these days equals communism and anyone that can’t see that...well I can’t post want needs to happen to those people but...you should can Cal. Not because he won’t get things straightened out because he will next year or the one after. He needs canned because he regularly puts two birds up to the fans faces even hen the fans are right. How he’s handled Boston and Allen this year is one of the worst coaching jobs I have ever witnessed in my life!!! And I had to live through 10 years or whatever it was of Crean!!! The worst coach in the world! Wait, second worst coach I’m the world!

I'm just not sure if that is changing or that he's simply losing out on his top targets lately.

Well, of course, I can't be sure either. But if I recall correctly, UK went after most of those guys aggressively, and accepted commitments without "making them hold off" while waiting on others.

I also do not know the mindset of these recent players. If guys like Askew, Ware, Hickman and Hopkins, for example, are determined to be OAD, then it was a huge mistake to take them. If, however, I'm right and that's not the case with these guys, then I'm very happy with the strategy.
