‘lack of offense’ doesnt begin to describe how terrible he was on offense (and still is). missed chippies, dropped passes, etc. I’d have been ok with him as Cliff’s backup but I am sure he would have gotten starter minutes again despite being a train wreck with the ball in his hands.

Reiber is a project but is already a better offensive player than Myles.

Dean is a very nice kid.

I spoke with him after the Lehigh game to tell him how high the staff is on him.

I think all Dean needs is / was confidence and he's certainly showing much more of that as of late.

By all accounts, hes probably the most athletic kid on the team and has the highest vertical.

I will always root for kids like Reiber.

He had an excellent game. Slick pass to Ron, great defense and a couple baskets to kill time for Cliff.

Oskar shouldn’t see the court again that I’m certain of.
Its so funny that in a thread where we are acknowledging judging a kids ability too early and incorrectly, we see the same thing happening to another Soph.

Im not saying Palmquist is going tp be a huge contributor, but I can guarantee you he WILL see the floor again and will knock down some 3's.

Reiber is very athletic and I believe he will continue to improve. I have seen him in many practices and he has ability to really help even more moving forward.
Did you say he is the MOST athletic guy on the team?

I suspect Cliff might take that crown. But its great that our big guys are athletic freaks.

I mentioned on the board last game that Reiber was not an elite athlete but one who ran the court well and was still ONLY a freshmen in eligibility. I remember his recruiting videos on here which showed a gangly kid , floppy haired, almost nonchalant , with decent footwork hoisting up 3’s . Pike has been heavily criticized however he too has upped his most recent games since the New Year began. Now Rutgers must beat Minnesota.

Very true. You could see it on his face. He just needed a little success. He went from the deer in headlights look to a confident player in just one game.

As others have mentioned, I wonder what going big would look like, both Dean and Cliff together?
Assume foul trouble isn’t an issue.

Next year if we get a Cliff backup in the portal, Dean can play as a 4 with Cliff at 5. If Dean and Cliff continue progressing, that would be a powerful combination.

So if I block X’s shot, and my teammate catches my swatted ball, is that his rebound?
Yes it's considered a rebound. Even if it hits the ground. Whoever grabs the ball off a block gets a rebound
