If Cal signs no one else, then we will fail. Probably lose every game. If he's not careful the Stay-Puffed Marshmallow Man will come to Rupp Arena, tear down all the banners, and open the portal for Gozer to return to Earth. After the guys declaring for the NBA today things are THAT BAD with the UK basketball program.

Just when are some of you going to start trusting Cal? Every year he has been here he has brought in some great recruits. Some of you act like the sky if falling .

The last time UK lost this many players the following season didn't end well. UK fans have a right to be concerned.

That would suck, but I will be highly surprised if we don't sign 1or2 McDonalds AA's. If we land any 2or 3 of Newman, Ingram, Diallo, Zimmerman, or Brown, we should be top 2-3. I think UNCheat might come in as number 1 because of their returning players.

The most prestigious college basketball program just lost 7 (7! S E V E N ! !) players to a declaration for the NBA draft. They will make truckloads of money playing basketball either in the league or abroad.

One, we have a lot of open space now. The new guys have much more chances for playing time. And if your heart is set on the NBA.. A record of 7 draft declarations in ONE SEASON is pretty darn good motivation to come here and make your dream a reality, if it takes one, two, or even three years. I cannot under any circumstance imagine we don't get anyone else. I just cannot fathom it.

One positive is that no opposing coach can tell a kid that they won't get minutes if they come this year (unlike the scarce minutes last season).

And if you remember Cal said he would never be in that situation again.

Let's look at our lineup:

Ullis
Briscoe
Poythress
Lee
Labissiere

Bench:
Hawkins
Willis
Mathews

Scoring would be a problem early, but that team is top 20.

Cal will get at least 2 and possibly 3 more game changers in the next 3 weeks. No need to worry one bit.

OMG people really think we aren't signing anyone else?? Please! That is just a ridiculous assumption IMO. Have you guys looked at the list of HS prospects? Notice anything? A lot of those guys still undecided....hmmmmmmm...wonder why that is!

Yea not worrying about recruiting. Worried about the correct pieces to a final four? maybe. But I'm not worried about recruiting.

I'm not really worried. We have a great guard, Poythress is coming back and if we got nobody else Cal will do the Jorts trick on Willis and everybody will be ecstatic because he is an in-state kid.

The last time we lost 6 and brought back 1 who got 10 minutes a game. This year we bring 3 legitimate starters.

Lee has hardly ever been a starter and Poythress is coming off an injury he may not be 100% from until December or January. It's not a great situation to be in. UK will struggle.

I think Cal already knows who he is getting, moving these guys out a bit early opened the door. I think even some of the players today like Booker kinda knows who we are getting. We won't know until the last minute as usual, bring on the tension.....

There is exactly 0 percent chance that happens OP, but keep on wetting yourself.

And UK fans are just whiny people in general I've found on this board at least. Some of you are so worried when there is no reason to be.

The chances are UK signs several more, the team gels, and makes another Final Four run next year. That is Cal's track record at UK. People keep bringing up 2013, but the agenda driven posters never mention Cal lost his best player that year. Now to be fair, if Noel is healthy I'd say Sweet 16 ceiling for that team, but for THAT TEAM that would have been a good season.

Biggest difference is Poythress/Hawkins/Lee > Wiltjer.

Also, this incoming class will be diametrically better than the 2012 class.
