Ben Howland. I can’t say all of this is on you. But as the leader, the leader, you must eat it. AuB plays through Bruce. He takes those guys and transforms them into hungry and thirsty players teammates. Most people we played had more talent than us. Our talent didn’t equate to our projections

just arnt deep enough need 2 more DJs off the bench

He's better than Rick Ray though, apparently that's all it takes. Rick Ray will haunt this program for eternity. I am also drunk.

He is stans 2.0. People talk about William's being our best coach...he got us the farthest, but he had some pretty ****** teams. His last year sucked and I'm not referring to the coed

This may be as good as it gets for us in basketball guys. Coaches dont consider the SEC to be the end all be all when it comes to college basketball. We are 8-6 in our league, so it could be a lot worse. Be careful what you wish for.

Eh, Stans got us to four straight NCAA tournament appearances. Then he got 2 in a row at towards the end of his career. His teams unfortunately never made a deep run, but sometimes that’s just the way things go. So I think Howland it’s even close to as good as Stans was. lots of people give Stans a lot of **** here, but he was a great coach for us.

Something to ponder when you sober up. This is us with better players and Williams with worse players.

Yeah. Howland is a long way from being Stans 2.0. He’s Williams minus the 95 & 96 season (record only, they got there in very different ways). .

The truth is that Williams + Stans was our best head coach.

This program sucks! The coaches, players, and fans just don't care. It's on NIT cruise control.

How dare the men's team lose an SEC road game to a team that just beat bama on the road.
Away games are hard. When the first goal-tending (Ado's shot was going down to the rim, blocked by A&M but was a total goal tend) was not called, I knew it was going to be a tough one. Our team showed some toughness, Woodard reappeared yet DJ was off while 4 guys had double digit points. **** happens. Still have a chance to make tourney, would be choice if the MSU fans actually showed up and supported the team for the remaining games. @USC and @Mizzou are going to be tough.

This team is such an enigma. I’d give them a puncher’s chance against nearly any top seed in the tournament, but they could also lose to Hofstra the next night.

Similar to many of Stansbury’s teams, defense, rebounding, and size keep us in a lot of games, but poor ball handling and shooting give those points right back on most nights. Between Carter’s ongoing issues and Perry forcing a lot of shots, I don’t know that shooting will ever get better, but I still wonder what our offense would look like with a legit PG. if nothin else, it’d cut down on the TOs, and getting our guys more good looks wouldn’t hurt either

It would have been much more acceptable had we not just gotten embarrassed by a mediocre Ole Miss team and knowing they were basically playing for their playoff lives.

Maybe play Iverson at that position more. He had a bunch of turnovers early this season, because he is a true freshman. Now he seems to have settled down, and actually doesn’t get as rattled as some of the older guys.

Next year we get one of the top point guards in the nation, but we probably lose both Woodard and Perry, so it will be a completely different team anyway. If by some miracle both of them were to come back, it would be the same team with the addition of a true PG. Then I would be really excited.

Ole miss and A&M were on hot streaks and Kentucky was pissed. Blowing Auburn and LSU late are the real killers.
