Less then 4,800 deaths worldwide since 22 January.
According to the CDC as of 22 February during this 2019-20 flu season 280,000 people have been hospitalized and 16,000 people have died from the flu just in the U.S.

COVID-19 stay viable 3 hours in aerosolized form and 15 hours on surfaces. Airflow in any of those closed spaces increases possible transmission by a ton.

This is a joke. So lets be clear this means No practice, no games, no lifting, no film, no shooting with the same ball, no taking a crap in the same toilet, no touching other pleople's iphones....
So the athletes cant play basketball(even though there is limited risk to them getting sick) but they can go home and hook up with their girlfriend/boyfriends? they can go out to bars. They can do everything but go to class and play basketball.
If it is this serious trumps needs to pull the bandaid off now and quarantine the country for 2 weeks. No one leaves the house. Not even the so called journalists. Just paid programming or Friends reruns for two weeks.

The death rate for this virus is going to drop precipitously as more testing takes place. If you wanna play into the hysteria so be it. As a researcher and scientist, I can say this is an over reaction...major over reaction.

I'm not a researcher or a scientist and I could have told you that.
agree with you, you either shut EVERYTHING down for 3 weeks or you allow life to go on, there is not half assing this and it seems like we are going into half *** mode which never works for everything. As long as people keep going to malls, grocery stores, movie theaters and bars then this stuff is just is an overreaction. If we shouldnt be going to games, we shouldnt be going ANYWHERE really. That is what I said yesterday, the dominoes are falling you have to basically go into lockdown for 3 weeks.
The rate of death will undoubtedly decrease as more testing takes place...period. And the average age of those who die is 80. 80 years old.
We should also close all bars, curtail wedding venues, bus and train stations, airports
Churches, movie theaters, concerts, casinos
Costco’s and warehouse stores
Race tracks, suspend all town hall meetings

that's what many people have in mind, unfortunately.
So many people are freeaked out by this that there was an INSANE line up at the front of my Shop Rite at 10am this morning. INSANE. People are so scared that decided to all gather like a mass of bodies together in the supermarket. Think about that.
(why was I there? Cause I shop there every Thursday morning and I don't have nearly any concerns. I needed my corn beef for one of the few times I eat red meat anymore and wasn't gonna miss it lol).
