If there were ONE UofL player throughout the years that you could pick to come to UK instead of choosing UofL, which player would be your pick?
My first pick would be Wes Unseld. Awesome player that would have put a whole new spin on the stupid white vs. black 1966 title game.

Without question Wes Unseld. Put Unseld on our 1966 team and that team goes undefeated. And with Unseld on our 66 team that would have made it much more likely that Jim Mcdaniels would have been on our 1970 team.

Yep, Unseld was an all time great. Add Wes to some of Rupp's teams in the 60s and UK would have won a championship in that championship-less decade. Or did Unseld's career conincide with Alcidnor's reign at UCLA when no one was beating them? I am not sure of the years.

I believe Unseld graduated from high school in 64 Or 65. So the timing for a late 60s title would have been very good.

Unseld graduated in 64. He would have been a sophmore on UK's 66 team. Freshmen were ineligible then. UK probably wins the 66 title, but would not have beaten KAJ's UCLA teams in 67 and 68.

A UL player I would liked to have had on the 75 team was Junior Bridgeman. UK wins the UCLA game with Bridgeman.

Once any player picks UL, I would not want him. Kenny Payne gets a pass because he has earned immunity. It took Calipari, a HOF coach, to bring Payne to Kentucky. There isn't another UL player to talk about.

He would have been the center instead of Thad Jaracz on the Runt's.

No, thanks. If they chose to go to UL then they are not smart enough to play for Kentucky so I will pass on all of them.

I hear ya, but my original question was a hypothetical "If they chose UK instead of going to UofL". And what if they decided they made a mistake and hated playing for Pitino? What if they wanted to transfer to UK?? Depends on the kid, I think. I would take Onuaku transferring to UK in a heartbeat. He would have been a difference maker for last year's team. That said, there are some UofL players that I would NEVER want on a UK team due to their negativity like Chane Behanan.

We would have four more championships if we would of had Peyton siva. Give me him

Absolutely. I'm all for 5 championships in a 4 year span. How bad must Louisville have been to only win 1 championship with God's gift to basketball running the show?

Gourgi Dieng. Best player of their recent era and clearly the best pro they've had.

This thread is disgusting. Everyone giving an answer should feel ashamed and dirty.
