I do a live Wednesday night podcast from 8-9 it has killed me the last few weeks. I pause the game then watch.

Wow Paul almost gave me a damn heart attack.

Team did not look like the good RU first half and I was predicting a loss. Way to hunker down and way for our star players to come through. Cliff, Geo, Ron. Hyatt w clutch FTs

Paul really needs to stop with the anger. Its gonna cost us.

Hyatt and Cliff making 6 straight free throws was a piece of the RAC magic that somehow made it to Bloomington. A whiff of stale hot dog air from dollar dog nights of past must have made it all the way around the world with the prevailing winds and landed in assembly hall in those final 4 minutes

Not gonna lie, I had my head in my hands when he stepped up for the first one. I just wanted one.

Just don’t need Audre bringing the ball up or doing too much dribbling. But great job on free throws!

Not gonna lie, I had my head in my hands when he stepped up for the first one. I just wanted one.
So I like to project out the next few plays as I watch. My truthful expectation before he shot the first:
1) Hyatt will sadly miss the front-end to stay up 3
2) They will drain both technical FTs to leave us up 1
3) They will drain a basket at the buzzer

That went out the window when he made the first one with a smile. Next expectation:
1) Hyatt will drain the second one to go up 5
2) They will drain both technical FTs to leave us up 3
3) They will drain a 3 to tie the game
4) I don't know what will happen here, but we have to win this in regulation if we can. We will not win in OT.

Can't say enough of burying both FTs in that spot. Coming in cold off the pine, with just him at the line (that is brutal), and with a horrific TO in the back of the mind as one of his last plays in the game.

Big fan of Hyatt. Played with a lot of heart today. I see him taking a big step up going forward.
Me too. It’s tough for the bench to get going because one mistake and Pikel yanks them pretty quickly so it’s hard to get confidence. But I see a lot of potential in Hyatt, based on the positive glimpses I’ve seen this season This might be worthy of its own thread but my question is, who makes the biggest leap next year in improvement? I have Hyatt as one of the most likely to make a big leap next year.

If Hyatt takes a huge leap that would be enormous. He has the ability to create his own shot which much of the roster does not.

His defense and rebounding has gotten mivj better despite that last one going right through his hands.

If he can clean up the bad plays, he can be a huge plus for us next year

He reminds me of a less explosive EO where he was just letting balls get away from him etc... Hyatt is a bit older now so ideally he would have cleaned this up already so maybe he never does. He might feel more comfortable next year with Geo and Ron gone
