....if there only were a former national championship winning coach, that we all know well, living close by the Arizona campus. Maybe the Big 12 would have to adjust to his style of offense.

I suppose they could have picked someone worse..

Arizona did have a good year this year and surprised a lot of people..

Don’t see that guy lasting more than a couple seasons. Had to hire someone though this late in the game.
We don’t know who all the people they went after besides Leipold from another poster pointed out..

But good point late in the game to hire a new head coach DeBoer left with 15 kids signed in December..

Weird move for Fisch considering Florida job is probably open after next year

But his name is “Jedd”. Seems like he’s vastly out kicked his coverage professionally…

I'd rather be the Washington head coach than the Florida head coach. Probably about the same salary and much less pressure from crazy fans.

This is the same guy who was so obsessed with the OJ Simpson trial that he wore a suit to the court house and acted like a member of both sides’ legal teams to get a seat in the courtroom

That's a true story. Fisch was a law student at the time. It's interesting that he never played high school or college football. He was hired as a graduate assistant at Florida by Steve Spurrier after he left notes on the windshield of Spurrier's car for 450 straight days. He might be a bit of a nut.
