Huskers Non- Conference scheduling

Wonder how come Nebraska is one game short in playing their Non-conference basketball schedule?
Seems to me if you wanted to play in post season you wouldn't cut yourself short one game.

Everyone in the B1G has played 27 and a few already 28 games and we only have played 26 games.

Pre season tourneys have anything to do with it?

Max number of games is 27 plus a tournament. Some of those preseason tournaments have 4 games, some have 3.

If you don't play in a preseason tournament you can play 29 games.
