That’s being disrespectful to dogs. They are a bunch of fuglys for sureWhat's with all these weak-*** tips? Batenhorst especially. BTW, Wiscy's team is hard to look at. Woof.
Benched for the most part. Not good enough. What happened to Lexi Sun?
Got beat out. She plays occasionally. She was huge the other night when batenhorst was strugglingWhat happened to Lexi Sun?
I think he needs to rewind the DVR and watch it again. Winking
Yep. We serve tough which is always high risk/reward. Cook says aces and errors need to be even or better and he's okay with that
That 9 footer just ain't fair.Wisconsin feeling it and we shot our wad in set1.
Wisconsin is just dang good. They're like a forest plus a great setter
Wisconsin's defense is as good as ours with a little more consistent offense. That's the difference.
Cook didn't mince words talking about Hames after the match:Their setter sets better too.
Brutally honest, but ouch! There's a reason Wisconsin is ranked 3rd, they're damn good. In many of the matches I've watched the announcers talk about how demoralizing it can be for our opponents when our D is playing well, making outstanding digs, etc.. It had to tough for the Huskers last night when the shoe was on the other foot. When we did get shots past their blocks (6'8 and 6'9? that's freakin ridiculous!), the back row did a nice job defending.Cook didn't mince words talking about Hames after the match:
"Setter Nicklin Hames served the first serve into the net and Cook said that sent a message to the Badgers.
"You can look at the first serve, bottom of the net," Cook said. "What message does that send to Wisconsin? Here you go, we're not going to compete tonight. It's just a mentally weak play."
Our sets were definitely off last night. Wisconsin is solid with really no weak spots and 5-6 super seniors. They're definitely a rung better than us be we had our chances but couldn't do it.Their setter sets better too.

7 serving errors zero aces. That was far from the only bad serve. There were multiple serves 15 feet long.
I know Schwarzenbach, Hames and Caffey are listed as seniors, but don't they get a year back because of last year? It's odd because on the football team, fourth-year players who haven't redshirted (such as Adrian Martinez) are listed as juniors because last year didn't count against their eligibility clock. Yet fourth-year VB players are listed as seniors. We lose a ton of players too this year: Sun, Stivrins, Hames, Schwartenbach, Caffey.
It'll be interesting who will step up at MB next year. Next years nucleus is already playing. Can Evans replace Hames?? We'll be fine at libero and outside hitters. Akana is sufficient. Can Gray or Meyer replace Stivrins/Caffey/Schwartenbach??? Or do we hit the transfer portal??
It sucks getting swept again but we did have an off night and still could have easily won sets 1 & 3. Badgers could be the best team in the country right now but Nebraska has huge potential so that match in Madison could be really interesting. Purdue might give the Badgers all they can handle. Play well and the Huskers should handle Minnesota. We're right in the thick of it.When you have an off night against a Top 5 team its going to be hard to win. They are definitely improving and getting Stivrins back was key. Just need the youngsters to grow up a little more.
We're struggling. Too many Martinez type mistakes again tonight. Vb starting to play like fb team. Beating themselves. Regressing quicklyGoing to a 5th set at Minnesota. Huskers rallied from being down 18-20 in the 4th to extend the match.
