Congrats to the Huskers!

Who are the clowns who get all of our courtside seats?! Do they even know they're at a sporting event and they can cheer & get loud when the other team is serving?!
The clowns have cash and tenure. That is the one thing I hate about Husker athletics, they have NEVER prioritized students over cash. I was a freshmen in 79 and had seats far up in the corner of North Stadium. If you are a serious fan with cash why wouldn't you want the students to have the court side seats to create the atmosphere. The only argument against it besides the obvious cash reasons is I guess students wouldn't show up for all the matches like non-students do.

When I went to NU, the student section tickets kinda rotated around sort of a lottery type by dorm/floor etc.

How long has it been?

I can PROMISE you he did not change one thing about his life...dude never drank, never had fun, never did anything "wrong"...
Are you talking about TO? He used to drink in the 70's for sure. Not sure when he stopped.

Wow, you are old...I would have never guessed it. I was a soph in 1979 and sat in East Stadium between the 40s about 30 rows up. I sat there 1978-1981. As far as I knew all the students sat there in what are now $2000 or $2500 per seat donation seats. I guess they must have started transitioning the freshman students to the North/South Stadium around 1979 and I got grandfathered to where I had been.

Amazing and fun team to watch. They play their asses off and simply don't let balls hit the floor on them.

Crazy part is how young this team is and the amount of gals we have that can put it down. We don't have a go to 'hitter' simply because we have 6 or 7 that can step up and dominate a set or match.

They have already exceeded my expectations this year by leaps and bounds.

Pitt is really good, but would love to see a rubber match against Wisconsin for all the marbles.

Harper Murray is starting to trend towards the terminator type hitter like Mikaela Foecke was in early in her career.

It is great to see Harper hit from the back row. Harper also seems to have that set me the ball every time attitude like Foecke did.

This team has several good hitters. Andi Jackson’s ball placement is incredible. They’ve got several players that step up. Allick is playing with such a chip on her shoulder.

I believe Wisconsin had some injuries when we played them in Lincoln. The are obviously full strength right now and dominant.

Texas doesn't appear to have the same stars like they have had in the past but more balanced.

Pitt is the kind of team that will give Nebraska fits. Tall and athletic, they move very well and are aggressive. That match will be a nail biter.

Wisconsin is a monster. They are so ridiculously big that they can absolutely dominate the net.

When they get it going, they can suffocate teams.

I think we match up better against Pitt than Arkansas. Still gonna be a rough match.

Wisconsin was healthy and we were still adjusting without Lindsey when we played in Lincoln. I think people put a little too much stock in that sweep in Madison. We had already won the title and had to come back fighting the very next day against a tough Minnesota team. That was the more important match. So we probably shut it down a little in the 3rd set.

Wisconsin is a veteran team and Nebraska is obviously really young. If we get another crack at them I think it'll be a nail biter....win or lose. You are right though, Wisconsin is a beast this year.

Pretty sure TO wasn't a drinker. Especially if comparing to the Bob father. Might have had a glass of wine with dinner etc

Man those days were fun
Back when they could actually act like regular dudes...

I heard stories where the OU staff would get into Lincoln and go "party" at Barry's (I think) on Thursday night or Friday night and it was all totally fine.

I always enjoyed seeing Switzer and his coaches smoking cigarettes on the sideline.
