He did not play well yesterday from what I saw. Tried to do too much. Needs to let the game come to him.

I didn't watch the first half last night, but Cam had 0 points at halftime and a couple of turnovers. Second half started and he jacked up a three, missed, got the ball back, dribbled into the paint and put up a horrible running shot just to try to get on the board. Hoiberg pulled him immediately after that. I am guessing they want him to operate within the flow of their offense to get shots instead of just going iso-ball and trying to dribble through 2-3 defenders.

Down 31-24 with 6 mins. We are perfect from line and shooting 50%. How are we down!! Turnovers and rebounding once again it Appears.

Defense looked soft with poor effort from what I watched last night. Also could be fatigue from playing so many games.

down 35-33 at half. Winning two out of three in this tourney would be amazing. I really thought we'd be looking at 5-6 wins all season. We're basically starting from scratch as a program this year.

So there is no way to watch this without paying for the app right?

Up 4 with 10 min left. 3 fast break steals in a row looked good. They are putting in a much better effort on D tonight. South Florida not a terrible team from what I understand. Good game

USF owns the boards 36-22 thus far.
Watched a little bit of ISU versus Michigan today. Man Jacobsen would look good in our lineup right now. He would have graduated last year if he had stayed but he's a pretty good player for ISU. Michigan has some size that we won't be able to handle.

Our forwards had 6 points combined...all from Ouedraogo.

One play I saw was Jacobsen doing a nice little drop step baby hook with his left hand over Michigan's 7 footer. The kid played pretty good D and was hustling as usual. Hoiberg just said that USF took 21 more shots than us. A 6-9 to 6-10 hustle rebounder like Jacobsen would help us immensely right now.

He would've been a senior last year, and the Huskers probably make the tournament the last two seasons with Jacobsen and Morrow.

But yes, he would look great in a Husker uniform now.

I'm still not sure why he left NU. I have a hunch that there wasn't great chemistry between Morrow, Jacobsen and the some of the guys who followed them. Obviously Miles played a role in that.

We desperately need big dudes who can rebound and defend.
You mean:
  • Derrick Walker, 6-8, 235 (Eligible in 2020-21)
  • Shamiel Stevenson, 6-6, 245 (Eligible in 2020-21)
  • Dalano Banton, 6-8, 195 (Eligible in 2020-21)
Banton's actually a PG, but averaged 3 boards in 15 minutes per game as a freshman at WKU.
Stevenson averaged 4.4 boards per game as a freshman at Pitt.
Walker averaged 1.7 boards per game as a part-time player at Tennessee.

There's also 6-6, 190-pound Akol Arop, who averaged 11 boards per game at C. Prep last year. He may not play much more this year as the coaches likely are redshirting him so he's bigger and stronger for the next four years.

In the meantime, enjoy how comically bad we are at rebounding, and be amazed at how we can win even a single game with a 6-foot-7, barely 17-year-old Frenchman starting in the middle.
