I have been a die hard fan since I could pick up a football! Live it , breathe it, love the Huskers! The 70’s and 80’s teams that faught like hell every game and may not have taken the big prize ( exception pre Osborne), to the 90’s teams that added hardware to shelves!
Then came the 20 year drought.. most teams were hard to watch! Revolving door Coaching changes, strength and conditioning accountability gone, and total mental lack of football!
I look at this team like my Houston Astros. I’ve been a huge fan of the Astros just as long! Same results..70’s and 80’s good fundamental teams. 90’s, championship caliber teams and then almost 20 years of WTF!
Then came top brass with a passion for building a team! A coach and staff that build not only physically strong teams, but guys that mentality get the game! Whala! Now a team that can flat out dominate the best in baseball!
This is what I see starting to happen with the Huskers! Rome wasn’t built in a day! But I’m sure that frost can speed up the process to put this team back on top!
