Agree, we qualified last weekend by winning to eliminate others from overtaking a qualifying spot from us. We're not backing in.
You could argue if we lose this series against a team who isn't qualifying for the conference tournament, we'd be on a slide going into the tournament, but not backing in. Plus, if we're strategically resting players today given the potentially grueling tournament schedule and the fact we need to win the conference tournament to make the NCAA tournament, I don't mind it. We've already seen it this weekend by sitting Matthew and not throwing Olsen deep into game 1 (65 pitches), and Kaminska only went 69 pitches in game 2. I doubt we'll see Schanaman today since he went 52 Thursday.
Max was initially set to go to Texas A&M. He only went to Nebraska after Covid screwed up their roster/scholarship situation.

Does this conference screw up everything they put their fingers on? Why would you have a day with the possibilty of 4 games (only day with 4 games) the day before the championship game? If you get a couple long games or rain delay you have literally screwed up the championship day game. If they have the "if" game at 9pm on the 27th then the winner will be finishing that game at probably midnight or later then have to return for a 2pm game? Play the 4 game days in the beginning to save room for delays or rain outs.
