I know an ump that sort of this this, except he called like 4 straight balls, because it was the picture and his coach that were acting like ********.
I also saw a ref throw a flag for a fake hold when one team was up like 45 with about 3 minutes left and kept their starters in vs a team that was just not good at all and had no good players. After the game we were chatting and he goes "Yeah, they didn't need that TD"
The ump could have tossed the player for jumping up and down. That would have been reasonable. Calling strike 3 on a pitch 2 feet off the plate is not reasonable.

It blows we can’t get any high profile southern teams to visit Lincoln for a non-con weekend
Do you blame them after weather conditions this weekend..
Need to play someone in the Big 12 like OU or TCU yet this time of year..
Will be interested to see how tomorrow's game goes against Omaha. They handed the Huskers their *** last year. Lots of juco guys on that squad, had a hard edge to them last year but off to a slow start this year. Boeve was the best player in the state a year ago, not sure about this year but he's good.
Hawaii? Nah, they only made it to Omaha once. Made it to the Final 2 though, back when it was a straight-up, double elimination tourney.
Ahh okay. I was pretty young but it seemed like they were here a few times. I do remember one of their players hanging out in the stands playing songs on his guitar. That would never happen today.
The atmosphere Rosenblatt had back in the day will never be seen again, I'm afraid.
But I guess it's still better to have the CWS in downtown Omaha than in Nashville or Birmingham.
I made a big mistake. For the first time this season I decided to listen to the game this evening. And of course, NU is getting beat by UNO 10-6 at the bottom of the 8th. I should have just read about it tomorrow.
They said on the radio this morning when we beat UNO we have good season and vice-versa....oh no
Hell no, then what are us fans going to do? How boring if we cant tell the players that.
