I will never be caught dead calling the B1G a top 2 conference unless discussing money (only thing B1G is elite at)
of courseDon't forget diddling pre pubescent boys and teen girls
First 3-4 weeks is not a huge deal in the long run. Gotta figure some things out, learn, and then go forward with a clear plan. Early wins against traditional powerhouses can wipe out toe stubbingsI was harsh on this team when they fell 0-3-1 to begin the season. Happy to see them fight back and win 4 straight. GBR.
teeth gnashing comes after a negative event - upsetWow, I've never seen so much teeth gnashing after a big win on a message board.
They win against Ole Miss they will be ranked in the Top 20Nothing but a big opportunity tomorrow
Beat Hawaii, 12-3. 18 hits. Wow. Now, let's go beat Ole Miss! GBRAnother nice win. 5 in a row to make it 5-3-1. Good job guys. GBR
Scott frost wasn’t a good hire either. Rhule will be at penn state in 3 years.I’ve only come to the Nebraska site since Riley. I got banned for politely saying it wasn’t a good hire. But anyways, go Big Ten.

The problem becomes finding teams from other conferences to play on weekends in Lincoln. I don’t think your idea is feasibleHere’s probably a terrible opinion but I will let it rip anyway
Aside from football and basketball there should be no mandatory conference schedules. Everyone makes their own schedule and then meets at the end of the season for the conference tournament to decide the conf champion. Seeding can be based on RPI or by the league.
There is no reason why a big ten baseball team hoping to compete nationally should have their RPI and recruiting decimated by playing a conf schedule.
Likewise there is no reason for Rutgers or Penn State to play USC or UCLA in any sport other than football or basketball unless the schools decide
Play your schedule and we will see everyone at the end of the year for the conf tourney.
I’m sure I have overlooked many important factors
I'm waiting for FBS football to separate itself from the NCAA. That's when the conferences could re-form for the Olympic sports — think Big Eight, the 10-team SEC, the 9-team ACC, the Metro Conference, the Big East, the Pac-10, the old WAC, etc. Here’s probably a terrible opinion but I will let it rip anyway

As it is, you play more non-con games then conference. What I'd rather see is Nebraska somehow convince the league to start the season with a conference series in a dome. Nebraska needs a tuneup and a 3-gamer with the hapless, winless (so far) gophers would have been good. Then you try and find a better team in May. Nebraska typically plays a non-conference series that month as is (Arizona State in 2019 for example). Maybe they could find another, maybe not.The problem becomes finding teams from other conferences to play on weekends in Lincoln. I don’t think your idea is feasible
^^^ yep. Here hoping Franklin does *just* good enough to stay around for awhile while HCMR rebuilds us back to National Prominence. I’d even take being competitive within our division, lol…Scott frost wasn’t a good hire either. Rhule will be at penn state in 3 years.

That April or May non-conference weekend series isn't always a guarantee since there are an odd number of conference teams. Once conference season starts, someone is (or multiple teams are) playing out of conference on a given weekend. As it is, you play more non-con games then conference.
