Hurdling

Lions rookie TE TJ Hockenson from Iowa just knocked himself hurdling a couple of Chiefs. He hit the side of his head on the turf and went lights out limp. I have a feeling the hurdle will become a penalty soon. I think diving forward may survive, but if you are running full speed and try to hurdle, when someone hits your legs, you are flying head first to the turf.

Sorry Joe Lee but you are simply wrong

Yeah...they’ll never ban leaping over the line to block a punt or kick either. Next thing you know they’ll start regulating how players tackle. Might make them stop launching themselves into receivers or something. Totally never gonna happen.

Hate to agree with Joe Lee but the rules have changed so much in the last 40 years I don't doubt anything anymore. And I will also have to agree that avoiding head injuries is of the utmost importance. Most of us older guys have watched games where players were carried off and never walked again
