We will get more then 3

Maybe. I think it’s a small class of 3-4. The ‘21 class is not very deep with talent but ‘22 is. I figure Cal will fill in the blanks with transfers, either GT’s or if the rule changes as expected, “test the water” level guys looking to improve their NBA stock with one year under Cal. He wants plenty of room for the ‘22 guys. But I won’t take full credit for this hypothesis, others on the board have mentioned this as well. Ralphdaltonfan in particular has eluded to this, I believe.

Hopefully we have similar results with Sallis as with Fox.

Would love to see him/Hardy form the '21 backcourt recruits. Know there is a lot around Hardy, but curious to what Sisk/Graf said they heard which was very positive last week and know that Jaden's going to have a talk with his favorite NBA player (Devin Booker) more than once.

Didn’t know Book was his guy, that sounds positive for starters.

Brian Snow of 24/7 Sports posted that Hunter Sallis will have a Zoom meeting with entire UK Staff tonight. Assuming he's going to be talking with same people Bryce Hopkins did last night and Joel Justus is really doing a fantastic job talking with all the people you need to with Hunter.

I think some of the National people are underestimating UK/Sallis recruitment and still locked into info that is dated a bit. Staff is very high on Sallis and have been told feeling is mutual about the UK program.

Who is talking about the flurry of commitments? I've seen everyone say they expected 2 and Hickman pulled today and think most expect Bryce Hopkins to follow suit soon. Not heard about more pulling soon?

I was just asking caneintally who people were expecting to commit. I posed a question. I have no info, just wondering what he was hearing.

Thanks for response. Just wondered if something was being discussed on premium or something. Things are moving along great right now and expect another boost once the staff is together with additions. Lucas is a great addition and will pay dividends.

No problem. I am not a premium member, so I don’t know what is being said there. Just read caneintally’s post that we could have 2,3,4 commits soon. I assume he feels we will get Hopkins soon and I guess he is thinking Sallis and Hardy will join them soon.

I think that’s our only offers (not counting Baldwin) right now that are common knowledge.

Hopkins will be soon--maybe even before end of weekend. Just feels that is done and why delay inevitable? The guards....don't see that happening anytime soon, although I'd speculate Sallis will announce before Hardy whenever he pulls trigger and just hope it's for UK.

Daimion Collins could happen in a hurry once Lucas gets announced. Keep an eye on that one.

I would love to see us reel in those guys. Hickman, Sallis, and Hardy with Allen off the bench would be an excellent backcourt. Also throw in Fletcher at the 3.

Hopkins and Collins make for a nice pair up front to go with Ware likely returning and Toppin eligible at the 4 and 5 spots.

That’s a very talented 9-man rotation. Probably add a transfer or two or maybe another surprise recruit.

I think Hardy is the key. He’s the best guard in the class and a top 5 guy overall. We really need him, IMHO.

Yes on all. Maybe throw in Kepnang or a 2022 reclass top 5 big man.

I agree. He may the last really elite guy in the class we have a shot with. He may make or break the class

Agree we would just need a elite guy like hardy. Hypothetically, if hardy goes to the G league, do we go after a high profile grad transfer? We usually don’t go after them cause we go to the transfer market to fill specific needs. And that need is usually a role player. Wonder if we’d go after a big time grad transfer scorer

Just watching video's Hickman looks like a 5 star and Sallis a four star. What does Sallis give you better than Hickman. Hickman looks like a pure one and a better shooter than Sallis. May not be the case, just looks that way watching their highlights.

If we miss on Hardy, it might be our best option to go the transfer route.

If the rule changes and the NCAA allows a one-time transfer without sitting out, then Cal could bring in a high level “free agent” to be the man.

I’m thinking a P5 level guy that tested the waters and was told what to work on and given advice (maybe from a Knicks assistant coach-LOL) to go play for a guy that can get you ready in one year. Kind of like Sarr or Travis.

Can you give a brief scouting report on Collins?

Sallis, Hardy, and Hopkins would make for a small but potent class. I think those three with what we should get back would make for an excellent team.

I feel a “projected lineup” coming Bucs. Let’s at least get a few in the lineup that will be at UK!

I'd compare Collins to a Marcus Lee/Tariq Owens (starter on Texas Tech's National Runner Up) in terms of frame/athleticism. Runs floor well, but needs to get stronger. Has decent form on jumper but needs to keep working and but has presence defensively and very quick bounce, excellent speed. SEC level athlete that we've seen UK facing more than having recently on the frontcourt.

He's the type who has shown more face up skill lately and far more then Lee had entering UK, but Lee emerged with a big AAU season prior to SR year and blew up. Think Collins would be ranked a bit lower if he was in better class but this class, he could be a top 15 kid by end of year.
