Tells me he should’ve shot more.

He only shot when he was wide open, probably because he knew that was a weakness for him. He wasn’t the kind to jack it up every time up the floor, whether he had a good shot or not. High bball IQ players like SGA know when to shoot and when not to shoot. That’s why he had a low rate but a high percentage.

Shai was always a good three point shooter. Won the 3pt contest at the derby festival. Had great form. His setup and release was slow is all.

And yeah he was so good at getting to the rim and finishing(little easier when you’re 6’6 with a 7’ wing span), it didn’t make sense for him to Chuck a ton of them. He shot just enough to keep his defenders honest.

Well I mean I know all that but if he was that good of a shooter and was that efficient with so few attempts that just tells me UK’s offense could’ve used him shooting more. If you can shoot you can shoot.

He would have if he had a jump shot. His set shot, which was my point, meant he only shot when he was wide open. A jump shot allows you to still get off a good look against a tight defender. Set shot, not so much.

He should’ve shot more set shots.
