I believe it will be a very tight 21-20 type game. I think SP pulls it out at home, with defensive coaching. The SP offense will keep HH in the game, and SP defense will have to win the game by slowing HH down and stopping them in a couple crucial situations.
I think Huss can stay in this game. They have 3 losses (East Lincoln, Burns, and Porter Ridge) against teams with a combined record of 14-2. Losing by 1, 5 and 3 respectively. They're a much improved team. In saying that, I still think South Point wins this one by double figures. But it may be one of those games where it was closer than the scoreboard said.
Burns fans are hoping Huss wins. That is one of their signature wins . Huss winning will somehow validate them as a great team . In their mind. I can hear it now. We beat Huss. Huss beat SP. SP. beat Crest. Crest is back to back champ. WE'RE GREAT.

Huss will win 24- 14. SP dynasty is over, just look at the last five years middle school teams.....only one was a real winner. Trust me they know it too. Why do you think they fudged their numbers so they could drop to 2A.......only 8 students below the 3A mark........seriously?

The Stingers of the world were around last year telling SP that their dynasty was over prior to SP going to Chapel Hill. Last years middle school team was loaded. Sorry, you must have missed that part. Stinger please don't bet a dime against SP or you will not have the money to buy a cup of coffee at the Salvation Army. Prognosticating just ain't your thing.
More than your hate of SP; that is a deeper level of hate than I can imagine.
HH is a good team and I expect them to finish 2nd to SP in the conference this year. SP definitely did not want 2A and it is not a breeze. Shelby and Lincolnton can play with anyone in 3A.
Speaking of Lincolnton, it appears that last years recruiting coordinator from Crest was hired at Lincolnton for 2016. After adding Surratt from EL, they just had a mid-season 6-5 210 Sr. WR/DB transfer over from Cherryville.
The longer Huss hangs around with SP the more dangerous this game becomes for the Raiders. Huss has the horses to win but do they have the discipline? SP's coaching is worth seven points going into a game and the legendary bogus calls visiting teams have to deal with in Belmont are worth another 7 points. Huss will be down 14-0 by just getting off the bus. In a very competitive game I say SP 24-20.
Yes Belmont middle was loaded last year, but their best player is at SC, also no with some others. Yes, Shelby and Lincolnton can play with anyone, you're right. But, the rest of 2A is pretty weak. SP people just can't believe that the dynasty is over, but it is........you'll see. They might be able to squeeze out one more playoff birth then it's curtains when they enter their new conference. Huss wins tonight and if they don't, it's just a matter of weeks till Forestview or Stuart Cramer gets em'!
SP goes down to the Huskies 21-16. The Burns win over HH looks a little better in the rear view mirror now. Huss moves to 2-0 in that Gaston County league...
Tough loss. We shouldn't have even had an opportunity at the end. I hope nobody is shocked. Ever since I can remember Huss has always played us tough defensively, add that to how the offense has been this season it's not a big surprise. I always believed that if you get stuffed from the one yard line then you deserve to lose...especially if you're a run first team. Oh well, on to the next one.
