should be great game....will be rocking in Kings Mtn next Friday nite...Mountaineers got the win in a very physical game last year at Huss....I look forward to going up there as I like stopping and grabbing those awesome wings at Cherokee grille....good contest to see if Huss defense can halt the Mack attack. I expect a large and loud crowd for this big south showdown....Getcha popcorn ready!

Is that RB that Kings Mountain lost a few weeks ago back? At least I think he was a RB, I know he was a very important player.

This should be a very good game. Both teams should be at full strength and KM should be at full strength for the 1st time this season with the expected return of Eli Paysour. You have a powerful defense going against a strong offense. This game will be decided in the trenches and by turnovers. You also have extra dynamics involved in this rivalry. The kids for both teams all know each other very well and have played against each other since youth football. Both coaching staffs have multiple alumni from the opposing school on staff. There has been a ton of good natured trash talk involved between the two schools. Huss has not hid the fact that they have circled the KM and Crest games on their schedule. KM has not hid the fact that it thinks that Huss cannot beat them. “Some” KM people are still pissed at Huss for knocking the qb out of the game on a questionable hit. “Some” Huss people do not feel like that Cleveland County respects them enough. Lloyd has owned Huss and the Huss staff wants to correct that. Both teams have each other’s full undivided attention. Definitely should be a physical game in KM Friday night.

Hunter Huss is loaded, I admit it. I also think Hunter Huss is the new favorite to win the conference. Where as during the preseason, a lot of people suspected Kings Mountain to win the conference, me included, which begs the question, what in the world is going on? Last year I honestly had Hunter Huss winning the State championship only because, for one, they gave Shelby a hell of a game the year before, and two, Hunter Huss was returning 17 players or something. However Hunter Huss was a bust. Now the role’s have reversed. Kings Mountain was the favorites but can’t seem to get it to together. And Hunter Huss is rolling. Just strange man.

Staying Healthy is a must consideration as well in looking down the road .....for any team....should Huss Crest Km and i will include Ashbrook go up 3 scores from here on out with a lesser team then i would have as much 2nd string playing as I could...you could always throttle back down should the lead start to slip...

gonna come down to if HH can show some discipline and not rack up the personal fouls and penalties and if KM doesnt shoot themselves in the foot. Lloyd has been known to not show up when it counts.

Players play coaches coach we have to stop blaming every lost on Coach Lloyd. Coach Lloyd didn't loose the game against shelby. We had 4or5 turnovers and left several plays on the field. If we don't turn the ball over watch out for the Paysor boys to get off this week. Go Mounties!

Huss will have the athletes to keep up with #12. SC was able to corral the run gang from km and get behind their defense just couldn't catch the ball when needed, I dont see huss having much trouble with this one 35-21.

Just remember KM has play makers that hasnt really been used yet. I wouldnt put all my defenders on one person. It will come back to haunt you. Or should i say i wouldnt focus on one player.

very true, all blame should never be on the coach. Im just stating the reputation right now. yes, kids turn the ball over but Coach L seems to carry that L in big games.

Hoping for a good game and a shoot out.

#12 brother is coming back from injury at Cam Newton 7 on 7!
Just spoke with the kid, didn't get the report he was hoping for this morning at ortho. Recasted wrist this morning. Now probably going to wait for basketball where he already has a couple offers. Feel bad for the kid. He really wanted to be back for this game.

The H-back that KM lost a couple weeks ago against SC was the real big hit. Most people wouldn't notice absence but he done a lot of things that helped keep the chains moving. Heck of a blocker and was a go to on screens. His absence will be a bigger factor than #12's brother not coming back.

It will take a heck of an effort for the Mountaineers to keep this one competitive.

Been waiting for you wham. Has the offense scored 4 tds in a game this year? It looks like a lot of kick off punt returns and defensive tds. Good luck to you and hope you can make it to the game.

Yeah I feel strongly that you will see a good football game....Curious as to what defense KM runs.....if this weather holds up I think tailgating out of my pick up might be the order of the day.....beautiful weather so far this week....

My son says that they have been practicing a 3 man front. Maybe a stack in order to be able to double their two really good receivers. Sounds like manning up on those guys and zoning the rest of it up. I guess they feel like they can get pressure with 3 guys.
