I think his trajectory will be like Jorts but probably have a bigger impact by year three. The issue is Cal will more than likely continue to bring in bigs who are better than Hump which will limit his minutes. If Kanter would have been eligible then Jorts wouldn't have received the minutes that he did. If Cal gets most of the bigs he is going after next season Hump won't get many minutes. If Skal wasn't downright awful hump would have played even less.
i don't think anyone is forgetting Jorts but they also aren't forgetting Eloy Vargas
QUOTE="Jmeeks54thebest, post: 4607934, member: 8820"]Man, people on these boards have really short memories. Some might even say... Jort memories.
The exact same things were being said about Harrelson when we kept appealing the NCAA about Kanter. "Why would Cal pester the NCAA so hard if Harrelson was good to go?!" Then what happened? Harrelson's hard work paid off and he was exactly what that team needed.
Maybe it doesn't happen this year with Humphries, but I'm betting it will. If he focuses on his body this summer, and practicing against Bam, Gabriel, and SKJ... The sky is the limit for Hump.
Go ahead and forget about what history has taught us by disregarding hard working, blue collar players. I'll have a plate of crow cooked raw for you to eat when he's husting rebounds and put backs like Harrelson did to get us to a FF.
And yes, Harrelson did take 4 years to develop but there was very little change until the year he got significant minutes. Plus, Humprhies is a more highly touted prospect at 17/18 then Harrelson was at 17/18.[/QUOTE]
