We sold our house and we are now in the process of building a new house. We are in a rental home right now and my wife signed us up for Hulu live I have not been on it yet.
Question can I watch live games on this Hulu thing?
Any feedback or advice on it will be greatly appreciated as I don’t want to scramble to find the game when I roll home from work right at tip off time.

Hulu is ok and if you have Hulu live you can watch the game. It’s a little convoluted in finding it because there isn’t a guide (big reason I switched to You Tube live), Also, if you get to it after the start, it has a tendency to want to start at the beginning and not live. The delay is also significant, so if you get phone updates or twitter updates about the game, it will be about 30 seconds ahead of you watching the game, which will drive you crazy.

Youtube TV is my suggestion for any live streaming service. Unlimited DVR and have had ZERO issues streaming any game of any kind.

There's a guide. You just click Live TV at the top and then when it loads you then push down on the remote and the guide pops up. Also, all streaming services are behind the cable/satellite broadcast. I guess the time it takes for them to receive the signal and then make it available to stream causes that delay. I've experienced it on multiple streaming services.

YouTube TV is better......I hated the Hulu interface

The only interface I really liked was on SlingTV. Unfortunately, they have the worst selection of channels, always had issues with buffering UK games, and a terrible DVR experience. I wish more of these streaming services would use a similar interface to theirs though. Every other service has issues with their interfaces that could be so much better with some changes.

There is a guide and here is another tip. All of our games are on CBS, ESPN, ESPN2, or SECN. The channels are alphabetized in the guide. With these two tips, I have never been stumped by the guide.

On Hulu, I just go over to the SPORTS tab on the top and UK games are almost always near the top of that list. Choose the game and away you go. It does usually start at the beginning of the game, which I like, because I do not have to hurry to get home. However, I have on occasion had it start in 'live' mode. Never took the time to figure out why.

I had Vue for years and was sad to see them go however after having YouTubeTV for a few months now I dont miss Vue. Very easy interface and never had any issues. When you click on the game it gives the choice of live or start at the beginning. If you dont like Hulu you might give YouTube TV a chance. I'm not even sure I'd go back to Vue at this point.

I’ve tried almost all of them, Sling, YouTube, PsVue, and Hulu. After the update to the Hulu app past year or so I like it the best. I had weird buffering problems on the others and times when quality would be worse than 1940 broadcast TV. This is with a 500/500 fiber connection mind you.

The absolute worst experience I had was with PsVue. Don’t remember the game but it froze on the last second shot for UK to go to overtime, then about 5 seconds later rewound itself 15 minutes and acted like it was live. Had to close app and reopen, we made the shot and it proceeded to do random jumps back several minutes at a time the entire overtime period. My blood was boiling.

YouTube Tv and it’s not really close. Sling has a great interface and is easy to use but you have to pay extra for the dvr.

Honestly, of you're gonna do a streaming service, get the Disney+ package that comes with Hulu and ESPN. It's like $13 a month.

Every streaming service lacks one channel or another that you will want. I’m trying out AT&T NOW streaming. It’s a little more expensive ($80 per month for the ‘max’ package) but it includes all the sports channels of ESPN, SEC, ACC, all the others like Fox sports and NBCSN, CBSSN, snd a few others. Also includes the Hallmark Channel for my wife. What’s missing is HGTV, but I think that one is missing for other streaming services also. With ATT NOW. You get unlimited DVR recording and can pause and FF recordings.
