I think UNC will find out what we did two years ago, there isn't alot of elite coaches currently and the elite ones are winning at schools that can compete with the "blue bloods" thanks to NIL and transfer portal without the expectations of blue bloods

Hubert davis has better results and now watch for the good of the program he loves he gonna step aside so they can go after Todd Golden. Meanwhile, we continue our experiment with a guy who never coached with a Hall of Famer was awful in the tournament at BYU in Utah Valley State North Carolina a serious program they’re gonna pass us because we spent a quarter century unserious. We continue to be un serious. I mean, we could have a nice run in every and maybe make an elite eight one time doesn’t change a fact Mark Pope isn’t getting us to final fours. He isn’t getting us to titles. He may get lucky one time and get to a final four like Hubert Davis did but right now his body of work is not UK standard by any stretch.

I agree Oats wants a blue blood job but UNC is even more anal than Barnhart when it comes to hiring coaches with controversy around them.

Agreed, wanting a job and being offered are completely different. I would be absolutely shocked if heels offer Oats.

Mighty UNC post Roy could hire anyone. It was set up perfectly for a hot, young, rising star.
They got an alumn with no experience.

Duke…former alumn. Scheyer looks pretty good and maybe he was their guy all along. However, I feel like if any top tier elite coach with an FF or title wanted the gig, they would have it.

I’m not trying to hijack this as a Heels fan but we aren’t getting Golden. You see his buyout? I’d be shocked if UNC even entertained that.

Lol we went after hurley and oats said no. Y'all fake Kentucky fans. Would have said golden but that was before golden won it all, I sorta doubt it. Davis has been much more successful than Pope.

And to be fair UNC should make a change.

Davis has had 5 years, Pope has had 2.
