Glad to see PBS airs them... and honestly, their scorebug is a heck of a lot better than most college football or NFL ones! Just my opinion. Congrats to teams who made it and the Regina and West Lyon currently is a good one!

Hopefully it is better than those awful semi-finals. That production was amateur hour. Just awful.
Bishop Garrigan unfortunately pulled off a miracle comeback, trailing 36-14 in the 4th Qtr, to win 44-42 over Woodbine for the 8-Man title.
However, that was made up for as West Lyon holds off Iowa City Regina 34-27 in OT to win the 1A title!
MMCRU also claimed the Class A title, 30-17 over Saint Ansgar.
Lots of traditional powers (or recent powers) winning championships again BAU.
So exciting for the growth of the sport across the state of Iowa!

Regina lost in OT after calling 3 consecutive shotgun looks from inside the 1 yard line...
I imagine it's between games and they're waiting for the next one to start. So you get that huge football fan charity nebbie.
Incredibly bad play calling from the 1 ft line for Regina.
As an aside....Savion Miller has issues with ball security.
You are what you are, and if you're a shotgun team then lining up under center would cause massive circuit failure in the brains of your high schoolers.....................or so those f***ing geniuses say.
They did 3 shotgun QB up the middle. Then 4th down center snapped over QB head. Run that QB wide with a receiver doing an out pattern or crossing pattern and RPO the play and you score on that.

Agree - any number of plays w/ a fake power run would have gone untouched. It was probably Regina's only meaningful 4th and 1 of the season against a team that was actually able to stop what had worked all year against lesser competition - a good time to mix it up.....Against a HS defense I would think a play action QB boot w/ RPO to the TE would have scored pretty easily..........ah well
Let's not overthink a great outcome......
Better send that message to the dictator in DC who has pledged to shut down PBS.
