OKC picks up the win. Bennett didn't play. We'll just be patient to see him get his first NBA points. The Western Conference is always tough, but he'll get opportunities to get on the floor, in or out of conference games, vs weak opponents.
EDIT: My bad. With under a minute left, I didn't think Bennett or Barnhizer would get in. Glad they did though.

--> Every OKC starter & 4 players off the bench played at least 17 minutes.

--> 7'3" rookie Aday Mara played 12 minutes.

Bennett Stirtz played just 1 minute.

Started watching saw he wasn’t playing turned It off. Later found out they gave him one lousy minute for what?

Honestly, thunder are still very deep in guard rotation.
Sga,mitchell,mcclain,caruso, and wallace are all good.
Bennett will be there as depth for inevitable injuries.
Mara had an immediate impact with his size vs wemby.
Thunder have mara lined up to take the big germans place after this season

There's actually value in having a guaranteed contract without having a huge amount of pressure to perform as a rookie. Similar to a highly drafted QB in the NFL sitting behind an experienced veteran for a year or two. He can develop and learn from good guards. Bennett was never going to be a day 1 starter in the NBA. This may allow him to carve out a role on a team as a quality backup this year and next slowly earning more minutes, and develop into a starter quality or at least first man off the bench guard in a couple of years. If he can do that it will be big for him when it comes time to sign that second contract.

I'm pretty sure he signed multi year team friendly deal in offseason. Unfortunate part for Stirtz is I think OKC plan is to keep current roster and group for a long time. Wallace recently got an extension and I think McCain could be next. He'll still get some opportunities and be able to learn from some of the very best.

starting to hate these ESPN double headers being that they can't seem to understand how long the games take. Rather be able to watch it on NBA L.P.

Also in long nba season starters will have rest games will he will be bumped up in rotation

Clippers are at OKC later @ 6 PM on LP. Should be a good game. The Thunder will have it's hands full with Darius Garland. I look for Alex Caruso to be the one doing guard duty for a good part of the game.

Hope Stirtz gets some minutes. Thought he would in game one, but maybe being prejudiced (sp).
