Such an awful stench culture with Slappy there.

I thought he’d get another year so kudos to the Michigan AD.

I’d look for Dusty May to become a major candidate especially given that Indiana prematurely secured Woodson for another year.

Should have been fired for his actions on the court but was given a second chance.

School NIL did not want to pay Hunter so this year was over before it started.

Right move by the AD regardless of his winning record, Elite 8 , and Sweet 16 appearances.

His program had declined over the last 3 years . Time to make a change and not rest on his earlier success.

Eric Mussleman might be in contention and would be a good choice if he wants to leave Arkansas
But this years Hog team might put a damper on Michigan wanting him

Darian DeVries of Drake is a HC I think could get the job , he has proved to be a good one in the Missouri Valley Conference and should be ready to move on to a bigger program

If I were the Michigan AD, I’d have cut a deal where if Howard wanted to be fired without cause he’d have to submit to being chained to a chair where anyone in the UM athletic department would be allowed to get a final slap in.

May would be better off at Ohio State

Another addition to the great-college-player-turned-failed-college-coach All Star team. Howard joins such luminaries as Clyde Drexler, Patrick Ewing, and RU's own Eddie Jordan.
One of those you mention is most certainly not a luminary.

Worst case scenario for us in terms of the landscape of coaching talent in the league

Huh?
He went to the NCAA tourney 2 out of 4 years.
Won the Big Ten one year.

If that's a failure, then you shouldn't read any of the defenses of Pike posts.

Missing the tournament 2 years in a row isn't a failure.

lol cmon you know how this works . He wasn’t fired then because he was winning

Worst thing a college coach can do is lose

Eh... there are a few things that can get you fired even if you win. But yes in this case he was clearly fired for losing.
