How would you expand DNF? Or would you?

I'd set up those portable seat trailers from in front of the M-Club at the football stadium along the walls of the baselines. It would make chasing foul balls interesting. Then I would build upper decks over the chair backs and sell mini-game packs. Once those are completed I would build a deck in center field and sell chair back seats for $1,000 a seat plus BDC donation of $1,000 per seat. You would get free hotdogs, boiled peanuts, and a paper bag to put the shells in. Drinks would be at cost...

The obvious answer for expansion is to extend the upper deck but not necessary right now.

The biggest thing that is needed right now is a robust process to allow people to purchase unused chairback tickets for individual games. My thought when I've seen any game this season has been is there really that many people that buy season tickets and don't use them? Enrollment into this process should be a condition of season ticket purchase. This still does not address the issue of having zero general admission seating. I don't get how anybody thought this was a good idea.

In the meantime, as far as letting people occupy the seats, the first inning might be a little quick. I'd say third inning let gen admission folks occupy them pending but then by the 6th if nobody has shown up they are your seats for that game even if the ticket holder appears.

Zero General admission seating was and is a terrible idea. The berms are something, but there should be 800-1000 GA seating on each outfield foul line. I would build the other tower. I would also figure out a away to get general admission seating in the outfield with a bleacher system. Maybe behind the LFL spots, who knows.

I would build an amusement park with roller coasters, virtual rides next to the baseball park then tell the rest of the SEC to eat me bitches.

Build more condos in the outfield. They are unique in college baseball, there seems to be a market for them, & they create a ton of additional revenue.

I second this. Plus the balconies offer unique entertainment at times, too #grindin'.

I’d say just do the modular expansion that seems to be already planned for down the road anyways, and put chairbacks where the berms are, and make them “premium GA seating”. Sell season tickets in these areas at a price point between the standard GA season tickets and the reserved seating season tickets. Additionally, inform all buyers of these tickets that seats in the section are still first come / first serve and are not guaranteed (so they can know to show up early). Ticket office reserves right to sell single game “premium GA seats” in a quantity not to exceed 120% of the capacity of those sections. This means that if they sell out completely of season tickets in these areas, they can still sell a number of tickets equal to 20% of the total seats in these sections on a single game basis.

Basically you do it airline or hotel style, where overbooking is an accepted practice. Could even be tied to a scanning system where each time a ticket in those sections is scanned, it reduces by one the number of tickets available for sale for that particular game.

I think it's pretty perfect as is, but I think adding a second loft would complete the look of the stadium and be more in keeping with the original renderings.

In the second loft, I would make the first floor a concession/restaurant accessible to the rest of the stadium. Really just a concession stand, but with tables on an open deck. A lot of MLB parks have these now.

I would then put in a small bleacher with chair backs on top like the rooftops at Wrigley Field. Then make the top floor of lofts a premium area accessible to the chair backs on the roof (basically a scoreboard club).

The sad part about he GA seating situation is that as long as I have been an MSU baseball fan, there were lots of walk up fans that were nowhere near being able to buy season tickets. It seems that we could over time reduce our general fan base if "regular" people can't go to games with a legit seating arrangement. I would venture to say that most of us on here watched games as kids or students in the GA seating. As is, it is almost a local club. I do not plan on sitting on the grass at 50 years old.

I think it's a little tacky but Arkansas just introduced these that they're putting at the back of the "Hog Pen" (outfield seating area). Re-purposed shipping containers that are 300 square feet and include a TV, grill, leather sofa, fridge, microwave, and an observation balcony people can sit on. Can be rented out for $1,500 and comes with 50 tickets. Not really my thing but interesting idea I guess. Always cool seeing new ideas schools are trying for baseball with how ridiculous the arms race is in the SEC. I want to make the trip to Dudy Noble one of these days to check it out because it looks amazing.

Was it inspired by this place? https://www.dailymail.co.uk/news/ar...pping-mall-attracts-150-000-visitors-day.html

I would like to see a second floor restaurant with two levels of balcony tables in right field overlooking the right field lounges. I think it would be cool

There needs to be a scoreboard behind home plate. Doesn’t have to be a video board, just something showing balls, strikes, and outs.

As far as the ticket transfer system, here is what I proposed to some of the Bulldog Club staff (as you can see, to no avail so far btw). Allow the season ticket holders (chair back seat holders) to have a portal/exchange (not the transfer system) where they can place their tickets for resale. This would be facilitated by the Bulldog Club. Could be like an eBay (bidding/buy it now) or even moreso like a Ticketmaster where there are set prices. Either way, when someone buys those seats, the money goes back to the Bulldog Club in some formula of donation. The Bulldog Club member/seat holder then gets precious points associated with the sales of those seats to that particular event. That would encourage ticket holders to use the open market rather than sit on them. It would also free up prime seats for others. More asses in seats, more revenue generated for the Bulldog Club, better TV look, member getting points/rising in Bulldog Club rankings etc etc. Totally win-win. Maybe this just makes too much common sense ‘cause this is a simple solution solved by software that may already exists.

1. Ticket exchange like everyone else has said.

2. Extend the upper deck down first and third base line. Put bleachers in for general admission. Have a cover with the big M over S logo that can be put over them for midweek games that don't fill up. I've seen pro stadiums use this in upperdecks. Have open concourse under just like rest of stadium and leave SRO above berms.

Probabably a lot of the empty seats you see are people actually using the ticket but are going down to the Triple crown club or Roof top club or out to the out field lounges. I would say that all of those are tickets not being used. There are a set number of tickets for chair backs that are available for purchase by bulldog club members every Tuesday. These are the ones that must be made available to visiting teams for regional super regionals.

There is nothing more bush league than tarping seats

and adding seats “because we can sell more season tickets” (as others have said or alluded to) only makes any issue we have worse.

Yeah that’s an awful idea. We would be the laughing stock of the league if we built this brand new stadium and immediately started tarping certain seats. Copying the Oakland Coliseum is not something you want to do ever.

Um, the first reward should be them getting the revenue for the sale, considering they already paid for the ticket and all.

Someone that makes decisions better get this thru their thick skulls. I don’t come from an MSU family, but many years ago when I was probably 8 or 9 my dad took me to see MSU play Miss. College (we lived in Clinton at the time) in baseball. We went because MSU was a national program and they were something to be seen. I also loved playing baseball. That is how I became an MSU fan.

They might as well go ahead and get more chairbacks in there and make it an even better experience than it already is. At the same time, it will be more accessible to potential future fans and maybe even a player or two or several.

that's also where i'm at. i've bought off stubhub to attend, but there has not been a lot of options at all and they are usually pretty high. a large number of the people i sat next to this past weekend said that was the first weekend they had been there. I haven't seen any of those tickets for sale on third party markets. blows my mind they would rather waste the tickets than sell them. most of them were all retirement age that had bought several tickets for their family. that's really who is buying up most of everything.

i've already heard this from several people that go to lots of games but were the casual fan that were not going to spends 1000s of dollars on season tickets. lot's of them are now going to stay at home and watch on tv.

i'm just glad more people are coming around to seeing my reason for cause of concern before the start of the season. it needs to be fixed. something with ticket exchange and expanding more GA seating than berms that fill up over an hour before the game.

I'm fine leaving it the way it is. I'm a SRO ticket guy and usually walk around different view points, since you can see from 360 degrees, or sit in the outfield. But I don't mind standing and I have options in LFL. Just spouting off ideas for the people who want more GA seating.
