Obviously, we will be immensely talented as usual, but we will definitely be taking a step back next year. How big of a step remains to be seen. The SEC is improving pretty quickly so I wanna ask what your alls honest opinions are about how we will stack up. I have to imagine we will be competing with LSU, UGA, and possibly UF for conference supremacy. I think UT will be better, A&M has a good class, and Bruce Pearl will improve Auburn as well. I don't wanna make any predictions because I don't know who all will be on our team yet, but I have to imagine we could find ourselves in a tough race to win the conference.

I expect Vanderbilt, Florida, A&M, and Arkansas (if Portis and Qualls return) to be strong, but Ole Miss and Georgia could be tough, too.

I think it will be a very competitive year in the SEC next year and 14-4 will win the league regular season. Maybe 13-5

I expect 7 teams to be in the 11-7 to 14-4 range.

UK should be favorite to win the conference and tourney...we'll have the best team no doubt...but thank god we're not in the West...it's going to be a dog fight every game over there...

SEC overall is going to be one of the deepest and toughest conferences...could be 4-5 teams with top 25 potential...6-7 teams who will be in the hunt to make the big dance...

Texas A&M--returning everybody and have a top recruiting class coming in

LSU--returning a lot of their rotation...Blakeney and Simmons will be top tier play makers...

Arkansas--Have enough returning to do some damage...if Qualls and/or Portis return they'll be a top 20 team...

Auburn--Should see significant improvement in year 2 under Pearl...they will fight till the end every game...

Miss St--Howland is a good enough coach to make the most out of what he has...State will be an improved product...

Alabama---Will reflect their coach...Avery Johnson will light a fire under what ever he has to work with...he is the ultimate underdog, from no name undrafted to NBA champion player and eventually well respected coach...his team will be fundamental sound and play hard...he'll have them playing a pro system and in the best playing condition they've ever been in...

The East will not be as strong...but overall should be a bit better...

Florida--should return most of their rotations...

Vandy--returning a lot of solid talent that was young and inexperienced this year...

UGA--will have a veteran squad next year...couple of solid 4* homegrown guards coming in...should be a tourney team again...

Uh, there is no East and West anymore. It's 1-14.

This. Amazing 3 seasons later people do not know this. I mean we played Vandy and UT both once this year...does the other poster not see anything wrong with that or just not follow basketball and UK enough to understand?

All I care is we lose a few games, get better throughout the year, lead or stay in contention for the league and the league gets better as a whole. This year, I don't care what anyone says, for me it was the biggest loss and I'll never get over it. It damaged my psych so much that I am glad to see most of this years team leave.
