How will no season effect our draft eligible baseball players

Who might have left with a strong junior season that may be more likely to return now? And will the NCAA count this as a redshirt year for all players? If I was a player with no real MLB aspirations and I was a senior I’d be pissed if there wasn’t some kind of waiver to allow me to compete for a championship after putting in 4 years of hard work.

It’ll be interesting to see what the NCAA does with the spring sports, cause they’re not even half over yet. I’m guessing that maybe we get universal redshirts for all players, allowing all current juniors to get two more years. The top end talents can still go pro, but players like Hatcher might stick around another year. I know he’s a sophomore, but maybe we see Ginn back next year too. That pitching staff next year could be elite, if Ginn is healthy and Cerantola puts it together.

That’s what I am figuring also, just a universal redshirt and of course the studs would still get drafted. Ginn will be interesting, I bet he’d fall several rounds if he entered the draft coming off an injury and he could make himself a cpl million by coming back and having a strong season where he actually goes deep in games. The wrong $ figure is how he wound up at state, ironically the wrong $ figure might bring him back.

The only right thing to do is to wipe this season from the books, it didn’t exist. Because it really didn’t. if the NCAA doesn’t wipe this year out for all the players eligibility then they are major ********....which they are, so we will,see.

Universal redshirts would also need to be coupled with an increased roster and scholarship limit for next year.

I was thinking they’d hafta expand rosters if they do what is right. More incoming freshmen may redshirt if players are allowed to return. Is there currently a limit on the number of players can officially redshirt?

MLB is gone, so no draft. these guys will have to get regular jobs.
