All this sideline to sideline crap. Even with a speedster like Washington.

We're up 17-0. The offense is putting up yards and points. The defense is playing lights out. I swear, some people will complain just to complain.

Can I tell you or run game is in rhythm, no. I can’t say that, however I can say
1. It’s impossible to really have a solid day running when we can’t run up the middle
2. Our run game is still better then last week, so I mark that as improvement
3. Why continue to be stubborn and attempt to run when we can rip them apart through the air, take what they give us.
No our run game isn’t really in rhythm but the offense is in rhythm in general, we are moving the ball... and guess what even with me saying no our run game isn’t in rhythm, it doesn’t change the fact that we are indeed winning and playing very solid...
So I’ll take the run game however it comes which means no we are not ok with losing ways

THE OP. The word "rhythm". As I believe some on this board complained about it last week. Mark my words. When we need to get the running in a rhythm this season and we can't, we will lose a couple of games. Now Tom Osborne was much better a getting the running game in a grove and yes I 100% believe Osborne's offense could still be very successful today.

I know plenty
I complain because I have HATED this crap offense for decades.

I don't think this style of offense has existed for decades. You talk about not liking the running from sideline to sideline. What do you think the speed, power, triple option is? Spread the defense out so you can pound them in the middle. IMO, this is the natural evolution of the offense Osborne ran in the 90s. Except, we actually have a passing threat. Sure we don't bruise in the middle, but we don't run 2 tight ends sets anymore either.

I will take it my grave that HCTO could have won three national championships without a single option in the playbook.

You know when people say Nebraska football fans are really knowledgeable? They're not talking about you.

I am knowledgeable enough to know Nebraska can't make that play work against an average defense.
Maybe you are clueless to the fact that the counter sweep and the toss sweep were very successful getting the ball to the outside with the IB in those days.
