How much does this help recruiting Texas

As a side note, I wonder how much this helps in crootin? If you are a 5 star receiver and fancy yourself as the MF’er and want the damn ball, how does is not greatly increase the chances of drawing some big time wide outs. We have some shifty slot guys but no over the top threats. Seems to be missing piece of our Offense. That is also assuming you waive the white flag of getting a Boobie D or some stud running back in here.

All wins help crootin. The more successful we are the more appealing we get and no doubt a lot of seniors in Texas were watching.

I hope maybe Leach went and visited a few prospects while he was in Texas this weekend

College football in the State of Texas has been average at best over the past 10 years. Kind of makes you wonder are those highschool guys over rated or not.

Texas high schools produce more really good offensive players at the college level than defensive players

Probably a lot. We really need to tap into those QBs and WRs out there if we are going to make this work long term. Are we seem to be doing that, at least in terms of QB. We will need to replace guys like Polk and Calvin with guys who know what they are doing. We need raw talent but we also need some polish.

Lot of high school teams that run the Air Raid in Texas. Don't forget about Teddy Knox and I think we recruited a lineman from Texas. But I'm sure Leach is all over Texas trying yo get some offensive players

Leach still have tons of connections with high school coaches in Texas, many of them run his offense.

I’m not sure who covers it, but aTm’s got an OL commit for ‘22 that I’ve tried to make the staff aware of for almost two years. He was a virtual unknown (unless you saw his film). He just never did the camp thing until this past year. And he blew up everyone’s lists. He’s a dang monster! And his HS has some interesting prospects for the next few years (VR Eaton HS) and they play in arguably one of the strongest districts in TX.

It for sure helps some. We have signed some Texas players lately: Sawyer Robertson, Teddy Knox (WR), Cannon Boone (OL). 3 from the last class. There's a couple more on the team as well.

Currently we have a QB commit Braedyn Locke from the Dallas area.

We signed Fred Ross in the past. There are more.

It's always a boost when you when on the road like that in TX as well.
