How much better will Richards be next year?

Center position is about good hands and good feet. He has very poor hands and decent feet. The one thing that blows my mind about him is his free throw touch. For as bad as his hands are he has an incredible soft touch shooting the ball. I can't figure him out. Earlier poster is right about his limited basketball experience. He has very little. I just didn't see him improve during the year very much so that concerns me. I want him to succeed big time. He has good athleticism, length, and quickness for his size. Hopeful!

As his hands are terrible, I'm wondering if he didn't grow up playing soccer. He does have nice touch from the FT line but that's about it regarding positives.

If you just look at him on the court, he looks like a perfect center. I think they will work with him constantly, to get him there. We know we need him next year and Cal knows that. He has good size and a solid build, to dominate inside. He just needs the intensity and hand strength. After this year, knowing he just can't walk in the NBA, I think he works very hard and improves a lot. I would love for him to be a monster, but even if he is just decent, our team will be scary good next year.

he needs to use a medicine ball all year, learn how to catch the ball.

Two things need to happen....he needs to become a gym rat and work his butt off in the weight room. Secondly he needs to have surgery on his hands so they can remove the bricks.

He will definetly be better . He can't regress. If he could just learn to catch the ball it would be a vast improvement
