"After a lot of prayer and long discussions with my family I've decided to reopen my recruitment. I want to thank all of the coaches at Rutgers for their time and attention and I wish nothing but the best for Coach Ash and the Scarlet Knights."

Then these guys can go to places like Kent, UMass and Old Dominion which seem to be our recruiting rivals.

If you can believe the recruiting/offers list I don't believe that any of our commitments receive any B1G offers besides from Maryland.

Most likely candidates for this are Wise and Marlyn Johnson IMO

Would you send your kid to Rutgers to play FBS football? I wouldn’t...

Yep. Need a gimmick. Defense coaches have never made sense for second tier programs. Defense is about talent. A gimmick offense allows you to succeed in spite of talent. Rutgers needs a mike leach type coach. Even if the guy doesn't win at least the team will score some points and offer some entertainment and hope. Pro style offense only makes sense with superior talent. The only purpose of doing this in college is recruiting NFL talent looking to be better prepared to go pro. Alabama treats scouts like royalty and practically invites them to live in the facility. That's the whole pitch of that program. Inferior talent needs to do weird **** that other teams aren't built to stop. And there's no reason to believe Rutgers won't have inferior talent for a long time.

You are going to see a similar tweet from me in the next few days:

"After a lot of prayer, almost a hundred thousand dollars over the past 30 yrs, untold pain and suffering, and long discussions with my family I've decided to discontinue my donations and season tickets to Rutgers University. I want to thank the AD and coaches at Rutgers for their ineptitude and humiliation brought upon our school. I wish nothing but the best for the Scarlet Knights."

Any of the current RU commitments who receive a new P5 offer will bolt - count on it. The good news is most wont - LOL. Which perfectly explains why we just got blown out by Kansas

The writing is on the wall. Ash is gone anytime between tomorrow and the end of 2019. It would make sense that recruits won’t want to commit to an uncertain future. Recruiting will be terrible until a new coach is named. Don’t be shocked if transfers happen too.
