So, instead of answering a question you present a local news story which, again, doesn’t answer the question.

you retarded?
Iowa's teacher salaries are in line with our lower cost of living. There you happy?

The OP is a political attack ad, blaming everyone but D's for Iowa's failings from cancer to bankruptcy, you retard. Iowa City has the most educated ( and liberal ) bunch of school board members in the state, yet...

The report says staff were " unable to prepare financial statements correctly because they couldn’t understand the software and didn’t understand how to properly read the financials. "

...and you think these are your saviors, don't you, retard?

Who has held the majority of iowas government over the last 15 years? I’ll give you a free answer: it’s republican.

You use a singular example to generalize a a “seemingly” broader issue for some reason.

you are an actual retard and should feel bad but you wouldn’t know it because….you’re a retard

Who are you? I love Iowa. You are free to leave. Not everyone buys the OP's rankings...

Iowa ranks No. 18 in economic opportunity and No. 2 in overall opportunity according to the U.S. News Best States metrics.

And we have the Hawkeyes so that automatically bumps us up to #1 on any other statistical metric/ranking we try to invent, regardless of any data or facts that attempt to prove otherwise. They're just plain wrong and they don't deserve any other explanation other than:

Iowa > other states. It's science. 🙂

My watch collection is worth more than tom paris's annual salary

Pretty common example actually.

Tom Paris and Fagnar are two immediate examples for quick reference.
@tomparis is a teacher? At what level, high school, elementary?

Farm bankruptcies grew 220% according to the potential House Rep. Mohler. Yes it did from 7 in 2024 to 18 in 2025 an increase of 220%. That's about 1 bankruptcies for every 5+ Iowa counties, turrible. Probably that many restaurants in Johnson County went under last year...

Cancer? Alcohol, obesity, drugs. Farming however...

According to the 2026 Cancer in Iowa Report released by the State Hygienic Laboratory / Iowa Cancer Registry, Iowa farmers experienced 13% fewer overall cancer cases than expected compared to the general state population, though specific types like prostate and lip cancer occurred at higher rates.

Farmer Cancer Findings
    • Lower Overall Rates: Farmers showed a 13% reduction in overall cancer incidence, featuring lower-than-expected rates for lung, colorectal, bladder, and pancreatic cancers.
What do you think that means?

It's amazing to think of the competence we once had in state government, and how far we've fallen since the Republicans gained total control.

That’s not a man.
This man has more facial hair than 80% of the men in this country. And his Adam's apple is as big as his balls.
