How has NC become so liberal?

Its called the “Queen” City for a reason
Tons of people have moved down south into NC. When I was in Raleigh, it was filled with former New Yorkers

If NC goes for Biden we need to vote them out of the ACC. That would be the final straw.

I've known plenty of good 'uns, and plenty of deplorable 'necks.
Banks are full of Democrats stealing the wealth from the American public for generations. They are the reason the rule of 72 and investing are not taught in schools today. Banks didn’t even sell mutual funds until the late 80s. But thanks to my fathers boss Art Williams they were eventually losing so much money to them they had to. Biden gathering in front of Chase Bank was very telling whom he answers to.

When did the solid south that elected socialist President FDR four time decide it was going to be republican?
I grew up in SC and learned early on that if I wanted to have any impact at all with my vote, I had to be a registered Democrat so I could participate in the primaries that determined all the people who would be elected on election day

The shift didn’t happen all at once, but it began with Strom and the Dixiecrats in 1948 and was expedited by two key federal decisions in 1954 and 1964. Republican leadership began courting the Southern Evangelical vote in the 1980s (pretty sure SC native Lee Atwater was a big reason for that). And it was all but solidified by 1994. I actually live here, for the last 15 years we’ve had a HUGE influx of northerners move into the triangle area.
It’s amazing they’ve really taken over as much as they have.
I propose a migration tax. There should be a stiff tax when you move from a unionized state to a free to work state. This would help keep property owned by locals and help keep them from bringing blue voting habits into red states.
