That's not true at all. The NBA is a different game and the type of players that thrive in the NBA, aren't winning titles in college.
The guys that win titles in college, might see a cup of coffee in the NBA.
If having NBA talent meant you have the best chance to win college titles, Calipari would have 10 rings, K would have 10 and Scheyer would have 3.
I guess it would be different if legit NBA talent stayed in college for more than a year or two, but the NBA grabs all the kids that have NBA size, length and athleticism as soon as they show themselves.

being a good college basketball player and being "elite" as was stated are two different things. mitchell and hall have tremendous baggage. its why they were playing at mizzu and auburn in the first play. or in hall's case....4th school in 4 years.

Mitchell is the the top choice because you won't be able to double team him if you've got Milan and Kam on the wings. He'd be almost unstoppable on the low block. Good luck guarding that.

I think you make a good point with Hall, 4 schools in 4 years is a huge red flag, but I don't get the Mitchell hate. Kid seemed to enjoy playing for Gates.
But in the post I replied to, you said if they were elite, they would have gone to the NBA by now, that's different. I'm just saying there's a huge difference between an NBA talent and a great college player.

Kohler or Hall please, for our purposes. Mitchell never averaged more than half a made three per game in any season. He’d probably be a better Mo Dioubate if we ran the offense through him but if we run the offense through him we’re screwed and Mark Pope is going back to med school.

I get what you mean but we do need someone who’s a menace under the three point to help space out our shooters because you don’t want all your guys crowding the three

I think you grab a starting level player and just wait and see how this all unfolds. Assuming you can currently play one of our wings as a backup 2, there’s not really a need for depth for depths sake imo

Need a small forward as you cannot depend on Kam although Milan can move there but he would be more effective as a stretch 4 to help spacing.
