I know this post should be on the private school forum, but no one responds to any posts on there!

Thon Maker was probably the best high school player in the nation even when he was a freshman.
And he's a good student who goes to a good academic school.

But how intelligent a player is he, on the court? He plays a lot on the perimeter, which is not good.
A 7-0 player should be posting up, not playing on the perimeter.

So what do you say about a player who has unlimited potential, but plays the game
the wrong way? :)

I don't know much about basketball but i like to go watch him play and have seen a bunch of Carlisle games. I know even less about aau ball but he is playing for something called TeamLoaded and is doing well. According to their twitter he has been offered recently by Florida and Indiana who also offered his brother along with duke, Memphis and a bunch of others. I think he is a stud. About posting up more... I compared him to a soph. Lhp throwing 95 mph. You don't want him throwing 120 pitches every time out when you know he's got a million dollar contract in his future. He is thin and against some of the teams they played this year, he got hammered night after night. But there were times when he put his back to the basket late in games when they needed him and he is quick and knows what he is doing under the basket. Yeah he needs some work but again he has 3 summers of that dude's big man camps he goes to all the time and playing against the best in the summers and at Carlisle. Smart, humble, extremely hard working kid.

I saw one game late in season when he was out with an injured finger. He seemed very basketball savy even sitting on bench. He was constantly talking to players on the floor, almost as if he was a coach.
