How good is Missouri?

I've read their fans say that their defense is more talented than South Carolina's. They say the only place MSU is more talented is QB, and that's by a slim margin. Part of me feels like every team looks at MSU and says "they can't be that good, the defense is just sleep walking against K1. We can shut that down". Hopefully Missouri is like everyone else so far in that they realize they are a step slow on defense and we drub them. I heard so much about the 5 stars on SCAR's defensive line, that going forward I'm just going to assume an SEC defensive will be disruptive, but our offense can scheme around it. What do ya'll think?

I watched some of the game against Troy. Their CBs and Safties can be beat. Troy ran on them too. They won by 10 at home.

Troy outgained Missouri by almost 100 yards (323-230), and Simmons was 10-19 for 91 yards passing. The difference in the game was Troy had two turnovers inside their own 20, which led to touchdown drives of 18 yards and 13 yards, and Missouri also had a punt return touchdown. I think we win by 10 points at least.

Austin Simmons was a bit of a head-case at Ole Miss. He was very sloppy at times to start the year which almost led to Kentucky and Arkansas taking them out. Gotta think the environment he is coming in to on Saturday could rattle him.

Even with two massive TO's in their own territory, Troy was still in a one score game until Mizzou added a FG w/ ~ 7 min left. The tigers have serious depth issues, especially @ RB.

No they weren’t. That’s not how coaching a football team works. They had a bad game. But they prepared for Troy last week & they’re preparing for State this week. I’m a lot more concerned about their running game than I am their passing game. But I think our passing game will be like nothing they’ve seen so far.

That win against Kansas is more Power 4 wins than our three previous opponents combine.

Kansas got beat by ASU who got smoked by Texas A&M. I seriously doubt Kansas is any better the MN or SC.

I feel like Arnett is going to show us a little more this weekend --- but I also predict he's not going to have to show all that much.

Missouri's biggest win is against a Kansas team whose only victory is against Long Island University. MO also struggled with Troy.

I'm always hesitant to proclaim a victory with confidence, but there is a part of me that thinks we are about to expose Mizzou.

Their QB has good stats - 8TD 0INT through three games.

I think CJL and Arnett will have the team ready for the moment. There's a reason we play the games so we'll see.

Agree, they will play much better this weekend than against Troy.
