How good is Althoff?

At what level could Althoff compete. They are loaded with high level talent and size. Could they compete for a title in 3a, 5A?

I was thinking the same thing. Not what I was expecting. 3 d1 kis at this level is amazing.

How much has their defense improved since the Unity game?

In the game thread, I mentioned they would be a good matchup with Montini.

I don’t think they’d quite be a title contender in 5A, but they could beat a whole bunch of 5A playoff teams.

I think they would beat Montini pretty handily. They would win 4a as well. 5a no way they beat naz, same with ESL, same with mt Carmel and loyola

Disagree about Montini. This Althoff team barely beat Unity. Montini is quite a bit better than Unity, and even though they don’t have anyone as good as Hill, they have a great defense and a ton of overall speed. I agree about Althoff possibly winning 4A because I think Montini would win 4A also.

Let’s pump the brakes a bit.

Yes they don’t field a healthy roster Vs Kaneland. In week 4 they played Tolono Unity and won by a point. That was a 3A quarterfinalist. So before we start calling them the GOAT pump the brakes. I’m not sure they would beat anyone above 4A let alone a few 4A teams
