When the ranking come out where will we be? I think we should still be the top 10, but a loss at home is never good. We could be ranked about 15

I'm not worried about how far we will fall..but am worried about the defense and if this team has what it takes to make a run in March after today. Who cares how far we fall right now ?

No way we'll drop that far. I'd guess around 6-8. I'd put UCLA in the top 3 easy. I'd put them #1 if they were already in the top 10 but only Indiana is good enough to do that.

We're still top 5. Look everyone has lost. Duke lost, UNC lost, Indiana lost. An early season loss isn't a bad thing. Doing it at home is somewhat but still we are right now the best team in the country. A terrible game won't change that.

Bottom line coming out of this game is that our defense is terrible. You can't get beat off the dribble the we have so far this season. This team has played bad defense all year and got away with it because we score. We didn't get away with bad defense today.

Also we need to find a power forward. We got destroyed at that spot today.

I'd like them to drop out of the top 5 for motivation and since they haven't beaten anyone yet. Let Cal see if that can be used for motavation since harder games than this are coming in the form of UNC and on the road at UL will be harder as a first true road game

Not important, probably 7 or 8. Never should have been # 1 anyway !

This was my guess when the game was over yesterday and I agree we shouldn't have been #1 yet, we had not really beaten anyone of regard this season and are a very young team just trying to get better right now. As long as we're there in the hunt in March is all I care about. Nice to be highly ranked but we just aren't there yet.

He's actually a UL fan trying to pose as a UK fan. Check his post history.

I knew it was one or the other. What's funny is that these losers think they can pass themselves of as concerned UK fans. I love that we occupy so much space in their tiny brains. Their lives find a meaning when they are ahead of us in December polls. [laughing]

You won't drop all that far...It is not like you lost to a mid-major with a poor record...You lost to a traditionally strong high major undefeated team already ranked #11 in the AP, #9 in the coaches' poll...That won't drop you out of the Top10...and probably keeps you ahead of Indiana--who did lose to a mid-major with a poor record.

Also realize that no one has survived an entire season unscathed since 1976. In fact, there hasn't even been a 1-loss champion since '76...

And the polls mean little...You get to the tourney and win and the polls matter little.

Just think if we had lost after having a 22 point lead...

I'd imagine we'll be 8 or 9 but at this point who cares. We're a young, super talented team that lost a home game on December 3rd to a team that could make the Final Four, it happens. We're going to get better.
