UC Irvine, UNI and they were a 4 seed? Seedlings just burn me up every year, especially when we are the number one overall seed.

Considering they almost lost the opening game there isnt an easy game left for them.

I hope they overlook UNI tonight. That is a very good team and it wouldn't be a big surprise if they managed to win that region now.

I just went back and looked there has never been a year when 1 of the regions lost the #1, #2, #3 and #4 seeds before the sweet 16.

I was surprised to find out that since the tourney went to 64 teams in 1985 that 4 times the #1, #2 and #3 seeds were all knocked out.

It happened twice in 1 year in 2000, also happened in 1992 and 1990.

Hopefully Oklahoma and Louisville goes down and we can make a 1st.

Not easy at all. Northern Iowa is not a chump team, they lost to NC State, they won't beat Michigan St or Oklahoma(if they win).

Apparently not very easy since UCI almost beat them.

Seth Tuttle is gonna have a field day. UNI by 8-10.

The bookie says smart money tonight is on Northern Iowa. And that's not an insult to Loserville, as much as I despise them. They're not very athletic, but the Panthers play smart and tough. And they split with Wichita and beat Notre Dame and Iowa.

That East region is anyone's game right now. There's not a single team left that may not be able to make a run to the Final Four. Of all the teams remaining, UNI and Michigan State had the most momentum going into the tournament.

It doesn't matter. They can't shoot. You could have them play Bryer High and they'd still lose in a 5 game series.

I like the optimistic posters who say UL comes to the end of the road tonight. I will sleep like a baby if that happens. I want them out of the tournament. NOW

I hope I'm wrong and they keep winning. It just doesn't feel like the NCAA tournament if we don't send them home crying.

No easier than ours. I'm not going to talk too much smack though, until after we get the job done.

Do you even look at the actual teams or just the names? What a stupid post.

Northern Iowa is DAMN good team and likely to beat Louisville who is a very average team.

I was also wondering this, as UNI is a damn good team. If UofL plays them like they are just some no name mid major, UNI will run them out of the building. Either way, I have UNI taking down the tards in my bracket.

Never saw UNI. All I know is that they slow it down. But UL should be able to handle a Missouri Valley team. Cards by 12.

Kind of like Kansas just handled a Missouri Valley team? What does that even mean?

Doing everything I can to jinx those turds.

Cards by double digits easily. Easily. Might even break some kind of record.

Somebody tell me again why you think UNI is so good? They shoot and miss a lot of 3s but haven't seen much else. They rebound ok.

UL is hitting shots. They usually start missing in the second half, so we'll see.

LOL at those of you who thought UNI was gonna win this game. UL is getting anything they want on the

offensive end. Nothing more than a slow white mid major team.

Louisville is running all over Northern Iowa. Cards having one of their games where they are actually making shots. Coupled that with Northern Iowa looking god awful on the offensive end. Cards I think are going to the Sweet 16 tonight.

Well, first time I've seen them, but they look like anything but a damn fine team. Look pretty mediocre actually. And I'm not one to refuse to give UofL credit - if they were simply beating a good team I'd say it. Maybe it's just an off night, but this team looks weak....

Do you? Where and when did UNI impress you this year big shot?

Northern Iowa was a 2 1/2 point favorite when the game started according to the guy I wasted money with. UL(I refuse to use the stupid nicknames you all give them and any other rivals) has a shot at the final four. I hope they get there, because we have proved we can beat them.
